IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads. When you install an SSD drive, a reboot or restart from the OS does not work. When you reboot, instead opening the boot partition, it throws this error:2100 HDD0 initialization error 1Other than avoiding reboot and using shutdown instead, the only solution I’ve found is this:Shutdown the laptop then power on to boot.During the “Thinkpad” splash screen, Press F1 on your keyboard to enter the BIOS.Select Config > Serial ATA (SATA)Change the SATA Controller Mode Option from AHCI to Compatibility mode.rebootReboot from OS should now work.ALSO READ CVE-2014-6271: Vulnerability in Bash allows remote execution of arbitrary codeTags: bios, ssdFree PDF Download: 101 Linux Commands you'll actually use… ← Finding Linux Compatible PrintersWeb Server Optimization Services → Popular Topicslinux, sysadmins, performance, server, security, raspberry pi, mysql, hosting, wordpress, windowsMost Read Posts (Last 24 hours)20 Top Server Monitoring & Application Performance Monitoring (AP...Review: GrooveHQ's ‘Free Forever' Plan, not free for...Avoid This When Tuning MySQL Query Cache for PerformanceI refuse to sign up for Viber, here's why.Raspberry Pi 3 Overclock and Turbo ConfigRaspberry Pi 2 OverclockWhen is it time to add more application monitoring?Use atop for Linux server performance analysis, here's why.Tuning MySQL: my.cnf, avoid this common pitfall!Raspberry Pi Safe OverclockingRecent Posts When is it time to add more application monitoring?
