A paraneter out of range may or may not indicate a potential hard drive problem. Press F1 to continue, F2 to enter SETUP. I have ran to automatically file system errors in check disk options. I didn't run the other option to "Scan for and automatically attempt recovery of bad sectors. I was at the customers house and it would hard drive self take to long to do that. After running that it still shows the error message. Does anyone know what the error message means and how to fix it? You can diagnose the disk more fully with either Dell's utils or try the UBCD http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ You'll have to download the ISO file and burn it to CD and boot from it.
