When I first started the process of upgrading for Blu-ray, I ran Cyberlink software's BD-Advisor tool, from which I learned about HDCP (I had to buy a new monitor, but it told me that once I had that, a drive and some software everything would be good to go for Blu-ray Playback). I then bought a BD-ROM drive which had Cyberlink PowerDVD8 bundled with hdcp error it. After installing the drive and the software and trying to play Blu-ray discs I got this- "Cyberlink PowerDVD is not able to play the protected content on your digital output device. Please switch to an analogue output (VGA, D-sub) and then try again. -(Error Code = 0110)" This seems to me to be a HDCP issue, despite the fact that their advisor tool now claims that my hardware is ready for Blu-Ray. I've been in correspondence with Cyberlink for over a hdcp error 0110 month now about this. First they suggested that my Graphics card might not in fact be suitable, but after contacting Sapphire, they insist it should be fine for Blu-Ray (admittedly its not a HD series card, but it does appear in the 'minimum' recommended spec for Cyberlink's software). They've had me trying everything from clean installs of drivers, to updating my bios, to running earlier builds of PowerDVD8 that might not conflict with my graphics, to upgrading me to PowerDVD9. All to no avail. The really frustrating thing is that when I put a disc in, I get the first few seconds of the studio logos that come up before the disc menu, then this Error 0110 code kicks in and stops playback. Surely this proves my hardware is perfectly capable of playing the discs and its in the software that the issue lies? If anyone has any advice or experience with a similar issue it'd be much appreciated.
