Carl L is online now I have a Pioneer multi-channel receiver, model VSX-920-K. Customer Question I have a Pioneer multi-channel receiver, model VSX-920-K. I'm http://forums.audioholics.com/forums/threads/hdcp-error-on-pioneer.77926/ having problems with the HDMI playback to an Epsom overhead projector. When I plug the HDMI cable into the output the receiver flashes HDCP error. Can you please advise me how to fix this problem? Note that I've used another HDMI cable - plugged into a plasma flatscreen and there are no problems. Thanks Submitted: 5 years ago. My name is XXXXX XXXXX have been repairing Electronics Professionally for over 13+ years and currently own a Shop in FL.HDCP is a copyright protection that is becomming more and more standardized in todays Digital Devices. Your Pioneer has honored this with its system and will check any device that its connected to for HDCP. If the HDCP isnt a feature of the connected device the Receiver says I dont think so and flashes you an error. Your TV has HDCP and is why you dont get any problems. In order to get this to work, you'll have to either A. Get an HDCP Compliant Projector or B. Use on non digital connection such as S-Video or Yellow Composite.Hope this helps my friend. This system has been working for about 4 months and only just developed this issue. Therefore the projector must be HDCP compliant. Ask Your Own Recorders and Players Question Exp
