Uploaded on Jun 7, 2011How to recognise an error condition / code on the DesignJet 1xx series.(DesignJet 100, 110, 111, 120, 130)For Sales, Repairs, Service, Support & More visit:http://www.hpplotter.co.ukThis video applies to all of the smaller Designjets (including the Designjet 100 series 100 Plus/110/111/120/130) whether 6 ink system (120 - 130) or 4 ink system (100 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8z7j6zJEJw -111), although the Alignment pages will be different, they all operate on the same principle. The video starts with the sensors being over-ridden and the cover opened to gain access to the X-carriage. By blocking the carriage way it forces the machine to come up with an error code and it switches itself off. The panel is now showing an error code which the video explains how you can read and determine which error you have on the machine. It seems to print its own self test / information pages fine when fed from the front with single sheets but when I try to feed it with roll from the back it goes into "frustrate the user" mode. Some of the things it does are - produce a paper skew error; produce a paper feed error; just beep and do nothing - all indicated on the display. It will feed the paper in to the point where it looks as if it's going to stop and then unspool it again and then maybe flag another error and possibly beep a few times. It can just sit and sound as though it's recycling something inside for a few minutes and then do any of the things noted above.I'm prepared to accept that I might misfeed the paper a few times but not completely consistently like this.I have trawled around looking at all the references I can find - none of them seem to say much other then repeat my experiences and indicate that I might have to try 10 or 15 times to get the paper to stay loaded. Is there some fix for this? I should say that all of this has been carried out without a computer connected and with or without an additional network card attached. The frustrating thing is that I picked it up for almost nothin
