Hochgeladen am 24.02.2011HP DesignJet 450C repairDesignJet cartridge errorHP DesignJet specialist repairs.http://www.hpplotter.co.ukThis video shows a Designjet 450c printer with a cartridge and data error code which 99% of the time will indicate carriage failure and the odd 5% trailing cable failure. The machine is put through the startup sequence with the carriage moving over to the right and returning to the left before starting to search for the encoder - a white mark on the platen roller. It keeps searching but is obviously missing it which indicates the sensor is not working correctly - it searches until it gives up and produces the error code. This indicates the carriage needs to be replaced. A similar error could occur on all 400 Series including the 430/450/455/488 Series. black. Priming didn't help. Next i cleaned the cartidges and http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/54655 contacts. Upon replacing them I got an orange cartrage error. http://www.computercarefiles.com/TWI_Docs/bpp90071/default.html Next i removed and replaced them one at a time. Green ready light did not flash for yellow or black. i replaced the black green ready light flashed. Next I replaced the yellow with a new one I had in the drawer. Ready light hp designjet flashed and cartridge light went out closed cover and all was well for a minute then cartridge error returned. Repeated process above and I could not get yellow to flash ready. pressed the cartridge firmly towards the contacts. flashed ready and the cartrige error light went off. closed lid but light returned while the plotter hp designjet 450c was setting up. Replaced the yellow with another newly purchased cartride. Can not get the yellow cartride to flash ready and the cartridge error is flashing orange. Can anyone tell me what my next step might be?TY Respond to this 0 If you cleaned the contacts real good for the yellow in the carriage assembly, the next item would be the carriage assembly followed by the trailing cable. Best method to clean those contact is with a coffee filter dampened in water and wrapped around a pencil's eraser. You should not use the eraser of the pencil but have the coffee filter covering it and then using that to clean the contacts. Use a fair amount of pressure when cleaning. by dmzcompute on Mar 6, 2008 at 2:43pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment HP DesignJet 450C Buy discount ink Buy this printer More HP questions © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc.
