Causes of this error can include the vacuum fan or the electronics module. Follow the steps listed below to accurately troubleshoot the issue, and replace the appropriate parts.Parts required (part numbers are subject to change) Part description Designjet 500 Models - C7769B, C7770B, C7769C, C7770C Designjet hp designjet 800 Models - C7779B, C7780B, C7779C, C7780C Vacuum Fan (Required) C7769-60150 C7769-60150 Electronics Module (Required) C7779-69144 C7779-69144 NOTE: If removal and installation instructions are needed for reference during any repairs performed, refer to the 500/800 Series Service Manual available on the Computer Care Web site for review or download.Troubleshooting stepsIf any of the troubleshooting steps listed below solve the problem, attempt to verify printer functionality (instructions below). If functionality is verified, no additional hp designjet 500 parts should be replaced. NOTE: Always verify the printer's current firmware release and upgrade as needed. Turn the printer off, then on to verify error. If no error appears attempt to verify functionality. If the error appears or problems persist, continue with the remaining steps. Turn the printer off. Turn the printer on and listen for the vacuum fan to start. NOTE: If media is loaded, the vacuum fan should start in approximately 50 seconds. If no media is loaded the printer will prompt to load media. Load a sheet of media to engage the fan. Verify that vacuum fan movement is not obstructed. Remove any such obstructions and attempt to verify functionality. If the vacuum fan is not audible or the problem persists, replace the vacuum fan (refer to pg. 8-64 of the 500/800 Series Service Manual). Following replacement attempt to verify functionality. If the error returns following replacement of the vacuum fan, replace the electronics module (refer to pg. 8-24 of the 500/800 Series Service Manual). Following replacement, verify printer functionality as instructed below.Verifying printer functionality Turn the printer on. Allow initialization to complete. Load media into the printer. From the main front-panel menu, select the Ink menu and press ENTER. Select TROUBLESHOOTING and press ENTER. Follow the instructions on the front panel. Following a succes
