stops. The message on the Display reads “13.01.00 Jam in Tray 2.” All paper paths are clear and all guides seem to be in proper position. Paper feeds from Manual Feed door fine. Please advise how to fix. Respond to this 0 The manual feed is Tray 1, so your machine has two trays.Does paper feed out of tray 2 and stop? Do the Tray 2 rollers turn? (watch from the back of the machine with a flashlight) by Stephen on Mar 17, 2009 at 5:02pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 You might want to use water and an old rag or towel and clean the three feed tires. Two on top and one in tray. I just ran into one the other day that was doing this and it had very little usage and the pickup and seperation/feed tires had gotten a glaised coating over them. By cleaning them you might restore them enough to get a few pages out. If thats the case then you probably just need to replace them. You might also want to remove and reseat your paper. Sometimes when loading paper it can get folded over in the front causing pick up issues like this. And the paper stop has a arrow on it pointing to the right position sometimes people make it to tight or it slips back slightly. So pull the paper out and check that. by nivek on Mar 17, 2009 at 6:03pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I turned the printer around and watched the rollers from the back with a flashlight as Stephen suggested and they do turn. The problem seems to have fixed itself. The paper went through the machine from Tray 2 this time just fine. I ran several more pages through the printer from Tray 2 and it seems to work well now. I don't understand why but thank you for the suggestion. by unknown on Mar 17, 2009 at 6:08pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 we use a hp laserjet 4250/4350 at work and it prints tons of pages. the problem is almost every print it "claims" it jams. we get a 13.01.00 jam in tray 2 message. but the only real problem is there is no jam at all!!! no paper nothing, just open and shut the tray real quick and it works. any ideas? by Anonymous on Apr 6, 2009 at 12:11pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Worn feed rollers-read above post to this thread-like watch from the rear or pull the rollers out and look at them and make sure they still have tread and dont have a shiney glaze to them. by Anonymous on Apr 6, 2009 at 2:43pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/kits/hp/K97 by moe on Apr 6, 2009 at 5:05pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 If all of the abo
LATE JAM" I have tried changing the paper, toner cartridge, and paper tray with one from another unit. I have verified that the paper size is set correctly on the tray. The paper feeds normally form tray 1 (the manual feed). I cannot find any scraps of paper in the paper path or anything else that looks ouut of the ordinary. This printer is only 4 months old and still under warranty. I can send it in to HP for service, but would like to know if there is anything I can do or check before I go that route.THanks in advance. Respond to this 0 Turn the printer around and http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/61308 lift the flap behind the paper tray. If you have a flashlight, get it. You want to watch the action of the paper pickup roller. By observing to see if it is rotating, slipping on the paper or whatever, you should be able to determine why the paper isn't feeding. A lot of times, it is as simple as the paper backstop has slid back and the roller can't grab the paper that is 2 inches out http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/49328 of reach. Wish I had $10 for every one of those I've seen. Since you've replaced the tray and paper, I would think you might have noticed that. Is the paper moving out of the tray at all? by moe on Jul 23, 2007 at 5:26pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Thanks moe for the super quick response. I will look from the rear tomorrow at the pickup rollers. When I was first called to look at the problem, my first discovery was that the paper backstop had slid back. I fixed it but the problem kept occurring. The paper picks up and feeds for about 3 inches before it stops and reports the jam. The paper feed is a bit uneven. Goes in a bit more on the left than the right. As I said in the previous post, swapping with another tray did not help at all. Thanks again for any help you can offer. I'll let you know what I find out tomorrow when I take a peek from the rear. - amifiles 0 Go to the link below if Moe's suggestion does not work.
