Sometimes a 60.02 error is displayed. Here is how I found my solution. I took the cover off the power switch side to see what was happening. I saw that after the tray is closed, the tray sometimes moves up over the gear that turns to raise the paper in place. That is the source of the KLUNKing noise!I thought:"How can I stop this from happening?" I drilled a small hole through a metal plate and placed a screw that rests just above a plastic part that should have stopped the tray from rising. That did the trick! No more KLUNKS. No more 60.02 errors!I took photos but I don't see how to post them here. I will forward them to you if you wish. by istech on May 22, 2008 at 8:03am Add comment Please sign in to comment Bad repair or incorrect info the 60 error would be a lifter motor error.should indicate the tray 2 lifter motor.it would be down on the lower right side.there is a spring that holds tension on top of it.if this comes off,it can cause issues.try switch trays and see if it still comes up.and make sure that tray is fully seated into place.to see the spring ,you would have to take off the right side cover, and i believe the top cover in order to get the right side cover off.could just be an issue with the lifter motor itself. - alam2020 yes my dear i'm also facing the same problem, could u pls help me to give me details i mean poto inst guidethanksnazrul - Anonymous I am using the new 4250 printer 60.02 Error error here appears online I see you also like my error, but no image
the paper tray lifting portion of POST. You can see the paper lifting in the tray by observing from the rear of the printer. Very shortly afterwards, the printer starts making a loud banging noise from the area of the lifter motor assy and you can watch it move back and forth as the printer bangs.I replaced the lifter assy and still does the same thing. I reconnected the old one without mounting it and you can see the motor turning as it attempts to lift the paper. Remember, this is happening without the assy being in the printer. No Banging but still getting error 60.02.The question I have concerns a lever just forward of the lifter in the paper tray guide itself. On a 4250, it is spring loaded. http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/49639 The P4015 I am working on does not have a spring loaded lever. I removed the paper pick up drive assy so I could see if there were any broken parts and also to remove the forward tray guide which contains this lever. No broken parts that I could tell but on the lever in question, you can tell there is supposed to be a spring and there is a spring on the axle that looks like a 6 or 9 without an opposing tail to cause it http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/77348 to spring back. The illustration for the guide in the manual does not show a spring.Moe or dmzcompute - either one of you familiar with what I am looking at? It seems to me that this lever may be the keey to the banging. Respond to this 0 the white plastic lever IS spring loaded. by eric111 on Nov 14, 2014 at 12:03pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Make sure the backstop in the tray itself is positioned correctly. If to far forward it prevents the tray from lifting all the way and can cause that knocking noise. If that is not it, then the white gear on the right side of the paper tray is probably bad. by dmzcompute on Nov 14, 2014 at 3:01pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Paper lifts all the way with multiple trays. Confirmed the spring actuated lever on a working printer. by Zeb_Carter on Nov 17, 2014 at 10:56am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Well, the sage continues.I have replaced the right side tray guide as mentioned upthread. No change in operation. Still getting the banging AFTER the paper lifts to max height. I can find nothing wrong with the tray. Manually manipulating the floor of the paper tray (part that lifts)shows no binding of any type and the mechanism on the side of the tray that interfaces with the tray lifter assy does not appear to be worn.Other threads suggest the paper feed mechanism may be broken but I can

Am hp error 60.02 I possibly missing something to do with the sensor flags? They move freely and appear to be in their correct positions and alignment, but I could be mistaken. Posts 725 Well, a 60 error is'nt in my manual, but it may be close to a DC issue. Did you do a few NVRAm Init's to sync up the formatter and DC? With all you replaced and it still clacks, could be just a toner gone bad. Is the MP trying to pick up too? It may be the issue. You have done everything that the service manual says to do and more. Is the tray actually lifting? printer designed to deliver all the printing needs of small and medium-sized businesses that can produce your printouts as fast as 23 pages per minute. It is relatively small and yet offers a 1200 x 1200 dpi printing resolution for clear and crisp text and graphics. It uses Image Enhancement Technology, HP FasRes1200 to be able to produce professional-looking documents. It also uses a standard yield HP 42A toner cartridge and high-yield HP 42X toner cartridge that has a higher page yield for printer users to be able to print more documents. Like any printers, the HP LaserJet 4250 has several printer error codes. And one of this error is the Error 10.32.00 message. This usually appears when the printer has recognized the installation of a non-original cartridge but this only occurs when the cartridge is installed. Just press the check button to clear the message. Another error is the Error 60.02 which is caused by the lifter motor not properly lifting the tray 2 cassette of the machine. This error is either can be caused by the tray cassette or a faulty lift motor. To fix this error, you must pull out the tray 2 cassette from the machine and inspect it to know the problem. If the tray has no problem then replace the lifter motor to resolve the error 60.2 message. The Error 79.00FE, on the other hand, will usually display on Mac OS X PCs which requires a power cycle to return it to a ready state. According to HP Support Center, "this issue is typically seen with long file names and certain web sites that will cause the issue when browsed. To alleviate this issue, ensure that you have the latest firmware for your printer which you can find at: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html Error 10.40.00 "will not get displayed on the printer control panel that will be logged in event log only." This error usually indicates that at least one non-HP supply was in-use but now all the HP printer consumables are genuine HP. You don't need anything to do about this. It only notifies you that you have used a non-HP supply from the past. Another error is the Error 13.20 which occurs on power up when the printer thinks paper is still stuck in the paper path. As according to HP, "this error can occur if paper is stuck in the path holding down one of the paper path sensors. The error can also occur if one of the sensor flags
