The 41.3 error in the subject line automatically creates a link at the top of the page. - moe 0 Basically the 41.3 error occurs when the paper reaches ps1 sensor which is the registration sensor is activated by paper before the dc controller expects that to happen. Usually it is because of 2 sheets feeding where it grabs one sheet and then about 1/3 of the way in another sheet starts. In other words it is a misfeed issue. If you are drawing from tray 1 (manual feeder), then yes the separation pad is probably worn. If drawing from the cassette tray, the paper holder on the left side may have become bent. Another issue which can lead to this happening is one of the selenoids on the paper input assembly having an issue with glue residue. HP used to use a velcro like material on the L shaped arm which locked the pickup gear until the paper cyele starts when the selenoid forces the L shaped arm towards the center and releases the gear. The power is turned off to the selenoid and
tried the following with no luck .. 1. replaced the dc board2. replaced the pickup rollers3. replaced the fuser4. replaced the part behind tray 15. replaced the toner6. cleaned the machineand even after all that over 4 hours now , i am still getting the same error .. i have read the other posts on this topic and have tried some the ideas in there but will no luck .. the printer will work fine from tray 1 , so didnt replaced the registion assy because i figure it was good .. any advice ? thanks Respond to http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/36135 this 0 if it works fine from tray 1 i would have thought then it's a problem with tray 2? to start with, print a config page and see what paper it think it has in tray 2. for instant, if it says letter and you have A4 then the machine is going to say wrong paper size once the paper is fed through it.other possibilities are sensors or paper feed problem. and http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/67310 once again concentrate on feed path from tray 2.good luck.edit: have you checked/clean the sensor just before the transfer roller? by tk55 on May 26, 2010 at 2:20pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Most times this occurs when the backstop of the tray is busted. Usually there is a crack in the plastic with the backstop you see when you remove the paper. First thing I would do is replace the paper tray as replacing all the other parts was just a waste of time. by dmzcompute on May 26, 2010 at 7:59pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 You can replace just the backstop. I have a kit for it. by moe on May 26, 2010 at 10:36pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Sorry guys , but all ready tried that , I have a stack of 4250 paper trays and using another tray doesnt work , i get the same error .. any other thoughts ? and thanks for the help .. by startrek133 on May 27, 2010 at 6:40am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 You do not tell us if there is paper jammed in the printer when this happens. If so it could be the selenoid for tray 2 "L"
