Job interrupted with "IOException while sending status command: Input/Output error in writeByte". This error came up in the UGS console. Sounds like a loss of USB connectivity? That sound right to you or is something else going on? Owner winder commented Feb 11, 2014 You're right, this happens when the USB connection drops. You can reproduce it by yanking the USB cable while GRBL is still connected. … On Monday, February 10, 2014, Mgilbride ***@***.***> wrote: Had following error today. Mgilbride commented Feb 11, 2014 Seen any cases of that cropping up after a 5-6000 lines of gcode on a running job? May have frazzled my computer with all of the testing I was doing. But this was a running job. Other alternative is that it was signal interference. I rerouted my USB after it happened. It's a shielded USB with ferrites at each end. Surprised about the interference. Owner winder commented Feb 11, 2014 My routing tool was dying and caused something similar. eventually it got so bad that the connection would die as soon as I turned on the dremel. … On Mon, Feb 10, 2014 at 8:51 PM, Mgilbride ***@***.***> wrote: Seen any cases of that cropping up after a 5-6000 lines of gcode on a running job? at this https://github.com/winder/Universal-G-Code-Sender/issues/122 point the spindle just stopped, and I had to abort. Nothing was hot or had any problems I could notice. Any idea what caused it to stop all of a sudden? Never happened before. If it makes any difference, I am running the linux version and when I tried to start again I had to chose another port. Don't know if changing port has anything to do with this but thought I http://www.shapeoko.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3575&p=26880 mention it. ShapeOko 2. Nema 17 74 oz·in. The most common ways that seems to happen generally involve issues with power, such as the refrigerator compressor starting or a spindle with bad brushes starting to arc. I open the loader software and can select my mojo board. When I try to load the mojo_top.bin file after compiling it in ISE, I get an error message that reads "Input/output error in writeByte. I am not sure what this is in reference too. The leds on the mojo board go out, but will restart the wave.bin program after unplugging and plugging it back into my pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Jackson Top embmicro Site Admin Posts: 638 Joined: March 24th, 2013, 12:45 pm Re: Mojo loader question Quote Postby embmicro » September 1st, 2014, 12:41 pm Hello Jackson,That error means that the Mojo Loader wasn't able to send data over the serial port. The Mojo Loader wasn't tested on XP, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. Do you get the same error for everything (with and without write to flash checked, trying to erase the flash, etc)?Since the LEDs go out, that tells me that the serial port was at least correct. Did you install the loader using our installer or manually with the raw files?Justin Top angryj Posts: 2 Joined: August 30th, 2014, 8:33 pm Re: Mojo loader question Quote Postby angryj » September 1st, 2014, 4:34 pm Hey Justin,Thanks for the reply.
