I have always had the following line in /etc/fstab: Code: 192.168.0.30:/shares/SimplePool/Storage /home/brian/Storage nfs rw,auto,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,intr,soft,retry=5 0 0 That, along with having Code: nfs-common installed, has always worked great for accessing my remote NFS server. Unfortunately Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) isn't cooperating. If I try to manually mount /home/brian/Storage it will hang. I ran the following equivalent command to debug: Code: sudo mount -v -t nfs -o rw,auto,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,intr,soft,retry=5 192.168.0.30:/shares/SimplePool/Storage /home/brian/Storage And the result was: Code: mount.nfs: timeout set for Thu May 6 10:01:01 2010 mount.nfs: text-bas

I was going to hook up some hardware and forgot. Now i am having a hard time finding the configuration files. The client machine (oS 11.1, KDE 3.5) is supposed to use automount to connect, but i can't seem to find the configuration files and yast does not help. Same issue with the server (os 11.3, KDE 3.5). If i could find the configuration files, else i would have included them in code blocks. Any Helpers? ?-) Reply With Quote 06-Apr-2013,15:25 #2 paulparker View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Explorer Penguin Join Date Jun 2008 Location Rural Australia Posts 248 Re: NFS problem - rebooted client, now i can't mount the server volume BTW am NON-Technical !
