This answer was rated: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I just built a computer with a Intel DG33TL board, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU, 2x2GB DDR2 RAMs, and 150GB SATA 10,000rpm hard drive... plus CD/DVD ROM and card reader. I turned it on and it runs, but it stops at the Intel screen and would not let me go into the BIOS setting or boot from the CD/DVD drive. I checked the cables, they seem fine.... Any ideas what i should do or how i should conduct my investigation? THANKS!!!!! Share this conversation Expert: Dave K replied8 years ago. Hello. The BIOS setup program is independent of almost everything else in the machine, so let's start by getting back to the minimum requirements. Please disconnect all components except keyboard, video card, monitor, and memory. Now you should be able to turn on the machine, get the Intel screen, and press the appropriate key to enter setup (I don't recall of it is F10 or Del or something else, but it tells you on the opening screen). If you get the screen but can't enter Setup, chances are you have a bad keyboard. (p.s. it is F2) That being said, it does detect the presence of the board because when a key is being pressed for too long, the beeping sound starts. Expert: Dave K replied8 years ago. OK. T
