Interactual Player 2.0 Error Playback Failed
skagway Thread Starter Joined: Oct 24, 2005 Messages: 51 I have been trying to play DVD's on my computers interactual player error screen resolution DVD RW using InterActual player. Whenever I try to play any DVD i Get this error "Error PL4009: A CSS Encryption error occurred while trying to play the DVD. Your detected interactual player playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem decoder may not support playback of encrypted DVD content." Is ths a codrc problem or does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks skagway, May 13, 2006 #1 Digidave Joined: Jun 4, 2005 Messages: 269 I did a simple Google search for you & found this. Hope it helps. Problem: Your InterActual Player reports an error PL4009, or

a CSS error. Your default DVD program most likely is unaffected and can successfully play DVD video. Solution: This may be caused by a conflict with an MPEG codec installed by such software as DVD X Copy Platinum, as well as the freeware K-Light and Nimo codec packs. The codec in question, Elecard MPEG I/II Codec, is installed by these programs for MPEG playback capabilities. Unfortunately, this codec prevents InterActual Player from detecting your actual DVD decoder, such as CyberLink PowerDVD or InterVideo WinDVD, among others. The detection of your existing DVD decoder software is a critical part of InterActual Player's DVD video capability, and it will fail if it cannot find a suitable decoder to use. Our lab tests have confirmed that the only way to return DVD video capability to InterActual Player in this case is to remove the software that installed the Elecard MPEG Codec from your computer. You may also be able to fix the problem by moving or renaming the Elecard MPEG file, which is called "mpgdec.ax", but you must remember to change it back when using the application whi

Playback Failed Due To A Problem With The Video Subsystem Windows 10
Member Joined: Apr 15, 2000 Messages: 2,086 Likes Received: 0 Hi all, I'm running an HP 762n with a few upgrades, most important of them, a DVD burner (Sony 710A). https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-codec-problem.466930/ I'm attempting to watch DVDs on my computer, and in either the burner, or the DVD drive that came with the unit (bios says HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8160B) all I get on my movies is sound, no picture. It's rather aggravating, is my decoder going? or is it a software issue tha can be fixed? Help!! #1 marketsons1985, Jan 6, 2005 pelikans https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/dvd-decoder-issues.1492681/ Junior Member Joined: Dec 28, 2004 Messages: 10 Likes Received: 0 Try Media Player Classic. It has all the codecs you need for a DVD movie. If you need codecs for other formats download a codec pack from that site. #2 pelikans, Jan 6, 2005 timswim78 Diamond Member Joined: Jan 1, 2003 Messages: 4,322 Likes Received: 0 Originally posted by: marketsons1985 Hi all, I'm running an HP 762n with a few upgrades, most important of them, a DVD burner (Sony 710A). my new duallie like a month ago, and just last night I went to watch a DVD on it (RE: Apocolypse in case one is wondering). So I open PowerDVD and it says "An object or name was not found." and of course with no extra details...er wtf? never said that on my old system and these are the SAME drives, OS, player software. Ok so maybe it was a bad DVD, I did after all just purchase it the day before. Tried 6 other WORKING DVDs, same issue. What the heck? Ok maybe PowerDVD is corrupted. So I install the interactual Player thing off the DVD. This is classic, the error it gave was Error PL4009: A CSS Encryption error occurred while trying to play the DVD. Your detected decoder may not support playback of encrypted DVD content. Please make sure that your decoder fully supports playback of encrypted DVD content by contacting the manufacturer of your DVD playback software. Ok so um, if iPlayer is the DVD playing software how can it not play something? What decoder is it trying to use? BLAH... But anyways I stick the new DVD into my laptop that has a player (which is I think 6+ years old) and hey look! plays JUST find, no issues what-so-ever. Someone please help me! The "details" of the error in iPlayer (Interactual Player) said that this may be caused by a bad DVD decryptor driver. Commonly installed by applications like K-Lite or DVDXCopy. Well thats useful I suppose, except K-lite has never been installed, and I uninstalled DVDx as well, still no dice... What the heck is going on here? I even got a message on one of them saying "The DVD Region of your DVD player does not match the disc you are trying to play" Well um, there is only one Region '1' that I know of and both drives are set to that. Error PL4008: The region of the DVD disc does not correspond to the region of your DVD player. Please try another disc or reset the region of your DVD player. Going to try another fresh wipe of all codecs and try that again... *sigh* What is so wrong from my old computer to this one?! *edit* got the second error, updating post.. *edit2* got the main error, updated post... JCLW02-08-05, 05:40 PMOdd. Maybe try region free firmware for your DVD drive? www.rpc1.org pik4chu02-08-05, 06:36 PMok it seems I fixed it, beats me the cause but I went through and basically uninstalled every friggin' thing related to codecs, DVDs and decoders and Im abl
