Thanks. bandit1010, Jun 18, 2005 #1 jancz3rt VIP Member Messages: 4,061 Seems like a problem Is there a program for playing DVDs http://www.fixya.com/support/t12805473-inter_actual_wont_play_dvd_s_error (known as a DVD Decoder) installed on your computer? * Over 50% of all support requests are from people who do not have an appropriate DVD Decoder and receive a "No decoder found" interactual player or "Video Subsystem Error (PL4013)". Most computers that have DVD-ROM drives come with a program for playing DVDs, such as Intervideo WinDVD, Cyberlink PowerDVD or Sonic Cineplayer. This program is typically installed by your computer manufacturer (look for it in your Start Menu) and you should contact your computer manufacturer if you cannot find it. The decoding program was apparently lost during the restore. Follow the link bellow, it will take you to the decoding software download at IBM's support site. This should correct your problem, if not let me know. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-42309 Posted on Jul 31, 2008 Helpful 0 Not Helpful Flag You can't post conmments that contain an email address. × Comment Anonymously Video Images Chris Hingee 32281 Answers SOURCE: DVD's wont play - says wrong region but they are compatible To change the Region code on your player, open Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager, and click on DVD/CD ROM drives, then right click on the DVD drive and click Properties then click on DVD Region. You can enter a new region and it also shows you how many changes have been made.NOTE you can make only 4 changes and the player will lock permanently on the 4th change. If you want to play DVD from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the player will be a piece of junk. The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software that allows you to play DVDs from any region. There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free From: -www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htm Posted on Nov 23, 2009 Helpful 0 Not Helpful Flag You can't post conmments that contain an email address. × Comment Anonymously Video Images Add Your Answer Tips for a great answer: - Answer the question. - If you need clarification, a
