Nothing is lostReset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for atleast ten seconds, until the Apple ipod cannot be synced error 54 logo appears.- Try another cable and USB port.- Next would be to place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then restore. This erases the iPod. Helpful (1) Reply options Link to this post This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only. It also constantly treats the iPad as if it's never seen it before, asking us if we want to set it up as a new iPad or restore from a backup. We tried ipod cannot be doing the restore from backup and got the same error, and setting it up as a new one simply gets us to the end of the backing up phase before spitting out the error. We've already tried the basic troubleshooting tips (Restarting both the computer and the iPad, then both again at the same time, uninstalling and re-installing iTunes, etc.), but haven't restored the iPad to factory defaults, as my mom is worried about losing her apps and paid-for music. windows-7 itunes sync ipad share|improve this question edited Jul 19 '11 at 3:42 studiohack♦ 10.8k1672108 asked Jul 19 '11 at 3:41 Neito 16114 For reference, there is no 64-bit version of iTunes. The 64-bit refers to the installer, not the application, which remains 32-bit. –user3463 Jul 19 '11 at 4:52 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote If your mother has a US iTunes account, she can simply re-download her music and apps. It would appear that the backup is corrupt in some way, so setting it up from scratch isn't a bad plan. share|improve this answer answered Jul 19 '11 at 4:53 user3463 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name E
