Trending Now Answers Best Answer: This error tends to occur when upgrading software on your computer. You can either back it up (by right clicking on Device and choosing Backup) and re-sync everything or remove iTunes and download and re-install. You could also take it to the apple store and have the Genius Bar technician do that for you. Source(s): B-Stock Solutions · 5 years ago 0 Thumbs up 0 Thum

Last night I connected the iPhone to the Mac for the first time since the weekend - only change to the Mac was the Snow Leopard upgrade on Tuesday. When iTunes launched, instead of showing 'myname iPhone' it just showed 'iPhone'. under the phone tab, the serial number of the handset, OS version and phone number were correct and again simply 'iPhone'. The backup and sync seemed to work as normal and just as it finished and as the 'iPhone sync is complete OK to disconnect message' appeared at the top of the iTunes window, a dialog box appeared indicating 'the iPhone "iPhone" cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred. (13019).' All the phone functions worked as normal but the iPod side showed there was no content. AppBox pro indicted that memory - about 8Gb (the amount of stuff I currently have loaded) was used. Rang Apple iPhone help and after a bit discussion I was pointed in the direction of Article HT1747 and advised to remove iTunes and download and install. Followed the process as described in the article but after rebooting and connecting up the same error appeared but this time the bar at the bottom of the iTunes screen showed no content on the iPhone. I deselected and then reselected the sync music option and all the library contents started to download and the bar at the bottom of the window increased. However, at the end of the process, the sync error message appeared. My next step is to speak to the computer people at Apple rather than the iPhone people. Failing that, a trip to Sydney and an appointment at the Apple store. In the meantime, has anyone any ideas on what the issue might be? Resync everything back over and don't
