This discussion is locked shum23 Level 1 (0 points) Q: iPod restoration problem Error:1418 Hi everybody... i downloaded the latest version of the itunes.. i then connected my ipod, it asked me to update... so i updated but it couldnt update it somehow ipod unknown error and gave me the following error:the iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1418)..All my songs ipod touch error -39 has disappeared.. and all i can see on its screen is.. "use itunes to restore"i dont know what to do... its my uncles ipod.. should i

When you have the current version of iTunes, try the following:Disconnect and reconnect your iPod and then attempt to restore. Restart your computer and then attempt to restore your iPod. Disable or Enable Disk Use on your iPod and then attempt to restore. Try connecting your iPod to a different USB port and then attempt to restore. Remove any third-party USB devices you have connected to your computer (it is not necessary to remove your keyboard or mouse).
