Ipod Error 69 Fix
I'm fairly sure I've also seen (-50) also, very frequently all of a sudden. My Ipod ipod error 48 is several years old and still in great physical condition. The error always occurs when I'm trying to put a music track or video ipod error 50 onto my Ipod. Sometimes they'll go through fine, others not. I get the error and then Itunes says "Trying to update Ipod" before it freezes. When I reset my ipod, windows pops up a window saying that the disc

may have errors and I should scan in order to fix it. Scanning and repairing does nothing. After the error, the Ipod will still play what is on it, but I cannot add anything new or plug it in without similar issues. I only remember getting this issue when the new (6 months ago or so) Itunes came out. I've tried using old versions but the same error occurs.I'm beyond frustrated. I've had to format my ipod and

find all of my music over again at least 10 times now.Other weird things I've noticed: Sometimes when I plug in my ipod to the computer, my Ipod is still usable and the Itunes doesn't recognize it as plugged in.Freezing when I plug in my Ipod, reseting the Ipod makes the -69/-50 error definite.Any ideas? Google says that the problem is fairly common but I haven't stumbled upon a solution. iPod classic, Windows 7 Posted on Mar 7, 2012 12:29 AM I have this question too Close Q: Unknown Error -69 When Syncing Music or Video All replies Helpful answers by Bilbo_cheshire, Bilbo_cheshire Mar 7, 2012 5:49 AM in response to wtw4 Level 4 (1,780 points) Mar 7, 2012 5:49 AM in response to wtw4 To be of any assistance, Which version of iTunes are you using? What is your iPod firmware/software version as shown in the iTunes summary page?Error -69 occurs when iTunes tries to send files to your iPod, but a file (or files) is unusable, if you have error 50 this time also then it is the iTunes needs to be re-install. Syncing iPod without erasing other songs Sync ipod shuffle (Solved) IPod - Unable to sync with iTunes IPod won't sync with new laptop Helpful +29 Report MoodyG Sep 9, 2009 04:04PM Unfortunately whoever first started telling people that their files are bad and http://ccm.net/forum/affich-109364-error-69-error-when-trying-to-sync-ipod they need to delete it from the iPod is just wrong. Here's how you REALLY fix it: Restore your ipod, making sure to place it in disk mode. Wait for the ipod to sync, and when it starts freezing on a song, rapidly tap or hold play/pause until it starts syncing again. Your iPod isn't timed correctly with the computer and that's that's the reason for the error. pressing play will kick the iPod in the azz and make it line up with the process on your PC. You're all welcome in advance. Reply Report da kid- Mar 23, 2010 12:19AM Don't know if the tapping of the play button is necessary, but I do it anyway. I've tried everything before this - older versions of iTunes, WinAmp, other cables, not running other programs, even went to the genius bar and the guy basically just read from Apple's website
December 3, 2007 in Tutorials - Last Update:March 2, 2014 30The Apple iTunes software started to display Error 69 recently whenever it tried to sync data between my iPod and the software program. The full error message read: "Attempting to copy http://www.ghacks.net/2007/12/03/itunes-error-69-when-syncing-ipod/ to the disk failed. An unknown error occurred (-69). That message is not http://forums.ilounge.com/ipod-classic-legacy-ipods/68337-solution-error-69-a.html really that helpful if you ask me. I figured that this was some kind of transfer problem and decided to investigate it further.I started the syncing again in iTunes and monitored the songs that were successfully synced with the iPod. Error 69 appeared again of course but this time I remembered the ipod error last song that was synced and decided to remove it for now from the iPod and iTunes to see if it would resolve the issue. After that I restarted the syncing process and it went through without a problem. I'm not sure if this is the appropriate method of getting rid of ipod error 69 in iTunes but it helped me.I ripped the song again from ipod error 69 the music CD, copied it back, and the copy synced fine from that moment on.This time it would sync without difficulties which was a relief. I hate it when an album on my iPod or PC is missing a track. The song may have been corrupt or use some sort of character set that is not supported by iTunes or the iPod. That's the best explanation that I can come up with right now. If you run into the same issue, try and remember the song where the synchronization process stops, remove that song from the queue and start again afterwards. If all goes well, you should be able to sync the remaining library with your iPod and avoid the error message from then on.Apple has a support page up on its website that offers instructions about the error as well. It confirms what I figured out, that the transfer error is caused by a bad file. Apple's solution is more or less the same that I discovered, but it may still help to read it as well. Thank you. Here is my solution to Error (-69) that was occuring when I tried to transfer songs to my 40GB 4gen iPod over USB 2 on XP Pro sp2. Like other users I found that it was hanging on the same song each time. I tried transfering the song over the USB port (I use a 160GB external WD Hardrive for music) to the hardrive of the computer and it hung up on the same songs. Apparently USB uses CDC or cyclic redundancy checks to verify the data it is transfering emerges exactly the same on the other end (at least that is how I interpret it). When it finds data is corrupt it will stop the process entire
