am using PPT 97 SR-2. I am trying to run an avi file by clicking on a linked file in a presentation and I receive the MMSYSTEM006 error as indicated. The avi runs fine when I open it http://www.verycomputer.com/213_9b182a47d9ab8bcd_1.htm independently with the Windows Media Player. What am I missing? Where can I find the proper driver? Thanks, Layn Top MCI Error - MMSYSTEM006 There is no driver installed on your system by Austin Myer » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00 Layn, You will need to make the following changes to your system registry: In the [drivers32] section of the System.ini file, add the following line: VIDC.IV41=ir41_32.ax Make certain to save the file mci error after editing, and then re-boot the machine. Should take care of the problem. Let me know if you want the long explanation on why this works. Austin Myers PowerPoint MVP Team >I am using PPT 97 SR-2. MCI Error: There is no driver installed on your system Using PowerPoint 2000 (Office Professional SR-1 + SR-2 update) on our Windows 2000 SP3 machines, an inserted Media clip (.avi) will not play within the presentation. It works fine on my home system, running Office Premium, but none of our work systems are able to display the media clip. I've checked the win.ini and system.ini per a somewhat related article, but can't seem to get this to work correctly. I have no idea how to fix it at this point, has anyone else seen this behavior? 2. Sum specific records 3.
