, Mobile Phone: Hi, So while I was trying to fix my graphics issues I messed up a setting somewhere along the way and am unable to boot back into SL, gets stuck at
Memory Allocation Error Addr 0xdeadbeef
Apple gray loading screen and I have to turn off PSU to power computer off. But this is not why I am in this section, I have some stuff to try when I get home. I'm here because in my late night trying to fix the above I decided to just reinstall SL and start from scratch. So I removed my memory just to 4gigs and booted with iBoot when I got to chameleon screen I put in SL DvD and hit f5, I then chose SL install DVD and after several minutes I get this: Memory allocation error: addr=0x0, size=0x8002770, file=device_inject.c, line=246 This is a nonrecoverable error! System halted! I am using the same ram stick I did the initial install with because its under the CPU cooler but I am wondering if because the SSD has an OS on it that's what is giving me a hard time. The crappy thing is I have the whole system on TimeMachine but I can't seem to access it because I can't get into SL lol. So any ideas on that code above? I googled the line and all I got was from another post I have in the Graphics section that I have mentioned what I got going on. Thanks Edit: Was able to reformat SSD and reinstall OSX following Notshy's guide, all is working great!! I have detected that the problem is related with the hfs partition, I was using MBR with four primary partitions. It seems that Chameleon could not read the hfs partition. Really weird problem....
