The DOSbox has a command called loadfix, I couldn't find the equivalent for command prompt. Loadfix Anybody know a DOS command or commands for this purpose? Many thanks, batch-file dos dosbox share|improve this question asked Mar 3 at 11:14 Thanushan 52927 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote accepted The DOS command is loadfix, as you already know. It's a command which ONLY makes sense in DOS, as it doesn't affect the batch file at all. It affects the next DOS program started by that batch file. In comparison, CMD.EXE doesn't start DOS programs, it starts Win32 programs. There simply isn't anything to " loadfix". share|improve this answer answered Mar 3 at 11:45 MSalters 108k882221 The reason I asked the question is I go the following error message when I run my line.cmd "Memory allocation error, Cannot load COMMAND, system halted". Apparently, this does happen in DOSBOX, but If enter loadfix -120 before run line.cmd then no error. –Thanushan Mar 3 at 13:09 That error message is from your DOS program. –MSalters Mar 3 at 14:35 What shall I do? to run line.cmd in command prompt? –Thanushan Mar 3 at 14:41 1 Run your DOS programs in DOSBox. That's why DOSBox exists. –MSalters Mar 3 at 14:50 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up us

[id:0499] - "Memory allocation error, size -1"". if i walk into a room and someone or something is already hostile toward me, i have no troubles. ive managed to get very near the end of the game by avoiding this bug...but i cant ignore it any longer if i want to finish it. sometimes when it crashes like this it also gives me the address of the error, with all that extra tech info that i cant read. but when it happens, it also mentions something about a "missing segment". not sure if this matters. any help is appreciated. things ive tried: *the loadfix command *allocating more memory *reinstalling *disabling EMS and XMS memory *checking my cd image files for corruption *mashing all the keys at once *cursing microsoft for completely abandoning DOS specs: intel P4 2.4 ghz 1gb rdram radeon 9700 pro 128mb creative sb live! intel mobo i850E win XP sp2 dosbox 0.63 Last edited by mr stabby on 2005-11-01 @ 19:27, edited 1 time in total. mr stabby Newbie Posts: 4Joined: 2005-10-26 @ 13:16 Top Reply with quote Re: Harvester memory allocation error by wd » 2005-10-26 @ 15:47 Can you disable the sound?
