Turn off the Workspace I/O (to do that, in the Simulink model go to Simulation=>Parameters=> Data Import/Export and uncheck the time and output boxes).2. Increase the step size of the simulation3. Reduce the length of the simulation4. Increase the virtual memory of your computer (right click on the My Computer Icon, go to Properties and choose Performance).5. Memory requirements of running a mode

Asked by sunil sunil (view profile) 1 question memory allocation 0 answers 0 accepted answers Reputation: 0 on 19 Dec 2012 11 views (last 30 days) 11 views (last 30 days) Hello,I am facing memory allocation error while running a .mdl file in simulink. The model is quite huge(arnd 22 MB) and running at 0.001sec using ODE5 solver. I am able to run the model for arnd 130 secs and later it throws an error as "memory allocation error" memory allocation error . I am using windows XP OS and matlab R2008b (32bit). It is not possible for me to change version or to run using accelerator or Rapid accelerator mode. I have also removed signla loggings and logging only required signal to workspace. If i check the "memory" command output before and after the error and it has reduced from 650MB to arnd 18MB (first output of memory command). I am having 3GM of RAM. The 3GB switch option was also not helpful. Let me know the other possibilities ?My question is :Is that possible to store the simulation data to static memory and free the Dynamic memory while simulation is running (or when it is paused) ? 0 Comments Show all comments Tags memory allocation error Products SimulinkMATLAB Related Content 1 Answer Jan Simon (view profile) 57 questions 6,900 answers 2,087 accepted answers Reputation: 13,942 Vote0 Link Direct link to this answer: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/56964#answer_68924 Answer by Jan Simon Jan Simon (view profile) 57 questions 6,900 answers 2,087 accepted answers Reputation: 13,942 on 19 Dec 2012 Please post a complete copy of the error message. If the contents really is "memory allocation error", this does not mean "out of memory". Therefore this could be a

Asked by Kyle Kyle (view profile) 2 questions 0 answers 0 accepted answers Reputation: 0 on 3 Mar 2015 5 views (last 30 days) 5 views (last 30 days) Hello,I have combed the website for an answer, but I have not been able to find one (other than install more RAM / use 64 bit PC). However, I think my PC specification should be sufficient.I am using Matlab 2010b SP2 with a 32bit Windows and 4 GB installed RAM. I have a very large model with a lot of objects, parameters, variables, etc., however most models reference other existing models. I also read about 100 variables of some actual data into the workspace, sampled at 5 msec (50 sec duration) and saved as double.I can run the simulation. I can log my signals, and I can check my scopes. There are no errors. After I run the simulation multiple times (example: Run the simulation, Simulation completes, check a scope, close the scope, change a value in my workspace, Run the simulation, Simulation completes, check scope....), let us say three or four times, I encounter a memory error. It does not depend on what variable I change. It only depends on the number of simulations. Even if I do not change the workspace or model, and I just re-simulate, the error will occur after 3 or 4 times. Upon one of the [Run the simulation] steps, while the model compiles all of referenced modules, the error occurs.%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%ErrorMessage: Model ErrorSource: UnknownReport: SimulinkConclusion: メモリ割り当てエラー (which I have translated as meaning memory allocation error - Yes, I am using a JP version)%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%I have tried reloading my workspace. I have tried using pack. The only way I can get the simulation to run is if I close Matlab and restart Matlab. However, it does seem to complete more of compiling, and once in a while successfully compile, if I do not use Matlab for a per
