Turn off the Workspace I/O (to do that, in the Simulink model go to Simulation=>Parameters=> Data Import/Export and uncheck the time and output boxes).2. Increase the step size of the simulation3. Reduce the length of the simulation4. Increase the virtual memory of your computer (right click on the My Computer Icon, go to Properties and choose Performance).5. Memory requirements of running a model depends on many factors such as the size of model, the signal size, memory usage by the user defined S-functions, etc.Depending on the requirements of your simulation, you might consider increasing your physical RAM memory or switching to 64-bit machine since they support considerable larg

Use your system's tool that checks memory to see if this it true. On Windows it's Task Manager. On Mac and Linux there are similar programs. If you are out of memory, see if your system can accept more memory. Buy more memory and install it. If you are on a 32-bit system and you have 4 GB already, upgrade to a 64-bit OS and put more memory in the machine.Keep in mind, though, that every operating system MATLAB runs on has a 64-bit variant, and has had a 64-bit variant for some time, so these techniques may help for some time, but it's entirely likely that they are only buying you a little time

Is there a simple way around this? I have two potential ideas that I'm planning memory allocation to try: 1.I was thinking about trying to run loops of multiple simulations with different seeds for my random bit generator so that I could get larger statistical samples. 2.If I could clear arrays that have already been processed periodically throughout the simulation somehow. Anyone tried this or some other technique? I am using a P4 2.4 GHz with 1 GB of RAM. I consistently get memory allocation errors after running about 6e6 bits through the simulation. Make sure you are not saving high-sample rate things to the workspace: time, outputs, (from simulation parameters), sinks, To Workspace blocks, etc. Stuart "Bardine"
