Memory Allocation Error System Halted
My current workaround for this is to copy the /Extra folder from my UniBeast Yosemite installer and paste it into my Yosemite Drive. Then upon reboot, I'm able to reboot. I can also boot into Yosemite with the install USB. Thanks for any help, Jack. If I put extra kexts into Extra/Extensions/ then they are loading up along with the "kernelcache-d" kexts? Or how is this working? I never really understood this, I http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/298750-chameleon-r2377-os-x-yosemite/page-3 always put my extra kexts into S/L/E/ and they built into the kernelcache. naiclub likes this Back to top #42 chris1111 Posted 12 June 2014 - 01:34 PM chris1111 Packager Donators 3,477 posts Gender:Male Location:Montreal Canada Interests:Mac OS X Packaging / scripts Ihave good success now, Audio works with VoodooMAV and I need all Extensions On Extra/Extensions Back to top #43 oldnapalm Posted 12 June 2014 - 01:35 PM oldnapalm InsanelyMac V.I.P. The bad news is that FileNVRAM seems to be messing up the boot process in some way. The whole thing just goes to a blank screen after processing AppleKextExcludeList.kext. If there's a way to get logs, I can provide them. This basically means that getting iMessage to work is going to be very, very hard, if not impossible. I have this problem too, boot hangs with memory allocation error if using -f and FileNVRAM module. To use FileNVRAM I need t

I discovered something very important while troubleshooting a "Memory Allocation Error" during boot up. I HAD CREATED THE ERROR. How? by changing the "background" image file in my Extra/Themes/Default folder. Changing the image (which is a .png file) in and of itself was not what "broke" things, but rather, the FILE SIZE. Although I have 8 Gig of RAM installed, the background.png file I had installed (a high-res version of the Yosemite Desktop picture) was TOO LARGE. I also set the picture's size to match the resolution setting of my Dell's display (1920x1080) and set the image's bit-depth to 72 DPI from the original 300 DPI, just to be sure.?So, if you're experiencing the dreaded "Memory Allocation Error" message on boot up, you just might want to boot from a different drive, and check the file size of the "background.png" file in the "Extra/Themes/Default" folder. (I always" clone" my basic WORKING OS-X internal drive to an external USB HD us
