The document is 2.4MB and the endnote file is 500KB. I am using Endnote X and Word 2003. Every time I used change text function or keep the library open for long time, system memory was going down to 20-30MB even I had 4GB memory (actual memory is 3+ GB due to XP-32bit limitation).Several temporary solutions I came up were,1:closing the library and reopen, which released some memory usage or 2: use memory de-fragmentation software. I reported when X2 was in beta, but X2 already did not have this problem. If you don't have a software that de-fragment memory, try closing your libra

How can I fix this? Answer CWYW 5: Using EndNote 7 for Windows with Microsoft Word XP or 2003, EndNote's keyboard shortcuts in Word (Alt+1, Alt+2, etc.) do not work. Answer CWYW 6: Since installing EndNote 6, Microsoft Word XP (2002) or Word 2003 is running slowly or freezing periodically. Word is reporting error messages such as "Unknown Error 0x800A1007" or messages which indicate there are too many edits or not enough resources/memory. happened before. I'm working on a G4 PowerMac with 512 MB of RAM, running Mac Os 10.3.1. Apple tells me there should be no such memory problem in any http://osdir.com/ml/search.endnote/2003-11/msg00124.html system higher than 9.2. Thanks for any thoughts. Thread at a glance: Previous Message by https://www.facebook.com/EndNote/posts/10150535078577984 Date: Re: Latex and Endnote Well, your question is quite legitimate but you should be warned that these are two very different things. LaTeX is a set of macros for the TeX typesetting memory error system. BibTeX is a bibliographic system for LaTeX (and other TeX documents). (La)TeX is a great way to produce professional documents with very complex typesetting. To get an idea of what TeX can do, take a look here: http://tug.org/texshowcase/ Quite impressive for a IOW, LaTeX is like an advanced page layout solution and the bibliographic stuff is just an added benefit. OTOH, there are reference endnote out of managers based on BibTeX. For instance, on Mac OS X there's BibDesk: http://bibdesk.sourceforge.net/ Be forewarned though that BibTeX and Endnote don't play so well together. It's a different story with other reference managers and formats (Pybliographer, Sonny Software's Bookends, RefDB, XML formats...). ________________________________________________________________________ This email has been scanned for all viruses by the MessageLabs Email Security System. Next Message by Date: footnotes I am sure somebody has already answered this question before, but I really need some help. I am trying to do footnotes in Word using Endnote. What I do currently is copy the template (in this case Turabian) into my Word document then replace the items in the template with the proper entries. I am sure there is a way to have Endnote enter a properly cited and formated footnote into Word, but I have yet to find a way to do it. I have also tried Cite While You Type, but all that has done is put a reference INSIDE the document instead as a footnote. Any help would be appreciated. Damn, i'm pretty good!
