This is v3.6 running under Windows. I have two Crucial Ballistix PC8500 DIMMS of 1Gb each in an Asus P5K-E WiFi mobo. Timings are 5-5-5-15 2T running on 2.2v. I have to run two instances of MemTest each testing 825Mb. One instance reports 102 errors in a single pass - the other none after 5 passes. I'm getting two types of error - Memory error detected Pair 33400472 does not store values accurately and Memory error detected. Copying between X and Y did not result in a accurate copy. X and Y are memory addresses. It seems logical that I have a bad DIMM. If it was down to BIOS settings it would affect both DIMMS wouldn't it? Is this genuinely faulty RAM that should be RMAd? Legacy USB Support has been changed from Auto to Disabled. Thanks. Last edited by Ray Proudfoot; 06-01-2008 at 15:09. Does this mean the errors are on one module only? Ray

Recently my pc started to freeze up, and get no, weren't able to use mouse or keyboard including CTRL+ALT+DEL as well. I ran a MemTest using ( hcidesign.com/memtest ) and had some errors occuring, looking like this:"Memory error detected! Pair 28507496 does not store values accurately. MemTest has detected that your computer cannot accurately store data in RAM. You need to fix this." ( the pair 28507496 is not the only pair that gets the error message ). I shortly after ran CPU-Z to take some pictures for you users. To see if anything's wrong ( apparently there is ). So they look like this: http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?im...che2999cq3.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cpu2999sx3.jpg http://img147.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ard2999bk0.jpg http://img147.imageshack.us/my.php?i...ory2999rb6.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?i...99slot1hq8.jpg http://img84.imageshack.us/my.php?im...99slot2rr8.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?i...99slot3kd8.jpg http://img153.imageshack.us/my.php?i...99slot4yv7.jpg If you are in need to see further of my pc speccs be free to ask, i can do a dxidag, and the CPU-Z log if needed. If anyone finds an error and know how to solve it, please tell me how to then, most likely a step-by-step guide. As i ain't the best at it.

Corsair is good kit but even they have occasional problems. Oct 4, 2007 #4 SNGX1275 TS Forces Special Posts: 10,689 +395 Memtest errors aren't always indicatative of bad RAM. But they are telling you what you have right then isn't going to be good. What I'm saying is your RAM might not necessarly be bad, but you won't be able to run either in that motherboard or with those timings/voltages, or both. So if you aren't running at the speeds/voltages either the motherboard or RAM wants you should change it to that and retest. If it still gives the error and you don't have another machine to test them in I'd just send them
