In other instances, imagination of a certain event can create confidence that such an event actually occurred. Causes of such memory errors may be due to certain cognitive factors, such as spreading activation, or to physiological factors, including brain damage, age or emotional factors. Furthermore, memory errors have been reported in individuals with schizophrenia and depression. The consequences of memory errors can have significant implications. Two main areas of concern regarding memory errors are in eyewitness testimony and cases of child abuse. Types of memory errors[edit] Blocking[edit] The feeling that a person gets when they know the information, but can not remember a specific detail, like an individuals name or the name of a place is described as the "tip-of-the-tongue" experience. The tip-of-the-tongue experience is a classic example of blocking, which is a failure to retrieve information that is available in memory even though you are trying to produce it.[2] The information you are trying to remember has been encoded and stored, and a cue is available that would usually trigger its recollection.[2] The information has not faded from memory and a person is not forgetting to retrieve the information.[2] What a person is experiencing is a complete retrieval failure, which makes blocking especially frustrati

immune to single-bit errors: the data that is read from each word is always the same as the data that had been written to it, even if https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_errors one or more bits actually stored have been flipped to the wrong state. Most non-ECC memory cannot detect errors although some non-ECC memory with parity support allows detection but not correction. It was initially thought that this was mainly due to alpha particles emitted by contaminants in chip packaging material, but research has shown that the majority of one-off soft errors in DRAM chips occur as a result of background radiation, chiefly neutrons from cosmic ray secondaries, which may change the contents of one or more memory cells or interfere with the circuitry used to read or write to them.[2] Hence, the error rates increase rapidly with rising altitude; for example, compared to the sea level, the rate of neutron flux is 3.5 times higher at 1.5km and 300 times higher at 10–12km (the cruising altitude of commercial airplanes).[3] As a result, systems operating at high altitudes require special provision for reliability. As an example, the spacecraft Cassini–Huygens, launched in 1997, contains two identical flight recorders, each with 2.5gigabits

QVGA landscape smartphone. i managed to download pocketgba latest version and it runs but it keeps showing a screen that says memory error despite me having plenty of memory available on both the device and the sd card. and on gbace it runs just fine but i cant get any game to load. i just see a black screen and it boots me back to the emulator screen. has anyone here pocketgba memory error found a way past these problems? i would like to play some gba games on my snap. or perhaps any alternate ways to play them? any help would be greatly appreciated
 ScreamingFalcon 1 Regular Members 1 121 posts Location:Sioux Falls, SD, USA Devices:HTC Ozone Posted February 15, 2010 Currently, there are no GBA emulators designed for the WinMo Smartphone configuration. BTW, HTC has an update out for your phone to bring it up to WinMo 6.5.
