5015 Raid: beeps + "Unrecoverable Error: check sdram connection"? 4 replies Latest Post - 2011-11-03T17:14:51Z by frenchyaz Display:ConversationsBy Date 1-5 of 5 Previous Next ulmx 2700032N8F 23 Posts Pinned topic x3650m3 + 5015 Raid: beeps + "Unrecoverable Error: check sdram connection"? 2010-06-04T17:06:44Z | Tags: Answered question This question has been answered. Unanswered question This question has not been answered yet. Hello, it'd be very nice if someone could help me out with the following issue I can't find any info about on the net or on developerworks. Thank you very much in advance! After replacing the pre installed 1015 controller inside a brand new, x3650 m3 which was never booted before, the adapter does the following: When I start the machine the speaker located on the controller doesn't stop beeping very loudly. After the EFI initialization and search for boot devices when it's time initializing the Serveraid controller I get the message: "Unrecoverable Error" "Please check the SDRAM connection" "If problem persist contact tech support" My question is: how should I check any sdram connection? The controllers RAM isn't connected by any cable, but fixed onto the controller's board itself, or am I wrong? Or does that mean something else? Steps I did when installing the controller: 1. removed power cables from the psus 2. removed the 1015 controller 3. installed the battery onto the 5015 controller 4. inserted the 5015 controller into the same position previously occupied by the 1015 controller (put the 5015 into the sas riser card etc...) 5. connected power to the server 6. turned on server. I then removed the 5015 and inserted the 1015 again: everything was fine. Then I tried inserting the 5015 without the battery pack: same problem. Is this controller defective? Are there any steps I could try? Thank you very very much, any help is greatly appreciated! Max Log in to reply.
