Troubleshooting procedures for Status 58 bptestbpcd exit status 25 errors. Error Message Status Code: 58 Solution Overview: A status 58 error can occur during connections to legacy processes; bpcd, bprd, bpdbm, bpjobd, vmd, etc. typically from master or media server to client, but alsofrom master server to media server, orfrom media servers to master, orfrom client to master servers, orin very rare cases from client to media server. The cause is that either a TCP SYN request did not reach the destination host, orthe expected processes were not listening on the destination host, orthe TCP SYN+ACK returned by the destination host did not reach the source host, orthe destination host could not validate that the inbound connection was from a valid NetBackup (NB) host, orthat PBX or vnetd on the destination host could not transfer the connection the desired daemon, orin rare instances that the destination host could not create a connection to the source host - for the same reasons as noted above. The majority of these situations are due to the TCP port(s) not being open through the firewall, daemon processes not running and listening on the destination

Server was moved to a different rack then suddenly my backups started failing on this media server. All cables followed the server in the move so everything is going https://vox.veritas.com/t5/NetBackup/Backups-Fail-every-night-on-media-server/td-p/320694 through the same switches and ports. Mostly the errors I receive are (40) network connection broken, (41) network connection timed out, and (13) file read failed. Different backups fail every night, just because it fails one night does not mean it will fail the next night. Also after one or two reruns I am always able to get the backup to complete successfully with a status 0. Network errors sometimes occur when backing up a different client but also occur when system is backing up the Shadows that reside on the media server. I have a wide range of errors also not limited to the 3 most common above. Master server = Solaris 10 Media server = HP-UX B.11.11 Client = Solaris 10 I have had a ticket open with Symantec for some time now and they don't seem to know what is happening. If anyone has encountered something like this before and knows something I could check it would be greatly appreciated. I cannot install a more recent MySQL version because of the dependencies. I cannot update librairies on this RedHat server. However, I have a problem connecting to the database with PHP. First I used PDO but I realized that PDO was not compatible with netbackup error code MySQL 3.23... So I used mysql_connect(). Now I have the following error: Warning: mysql_connect(): No such file or directory in /user/local/apache/htdocs/php/database.php on line 9 Error: No such file or directory My code is: $host = 'localhost'; $user = 'root'; $password = ''; $database = 'test'; $db = mysql_connect($host, $user, $password) or die('Error : ' . mysql_error()); mysql_select_db($database); I checked twice that the database exists and the login and password are correct. This is strange because the code works fine on my Windows PC with Wampp. I cannot figure out where the problem comes from. Any idea? php mysql redhat mysql-connect share|improve this question asked Sep 25 '12 at 14:09 Maxbester 91332148 2 Start using PDO or mysqli_* instead of mysql_* –Leri Sep 25 '12 at 14:10 5 @PLB: Have you read the question or just the code? –Madara Uchiha♦ Sep 25 '12 at 14:12 3 If you insist on using MySQL 3.x and with it the mysql_* functions, which soon will be deprecated, you may want to check in your php.ini whether the php_mysql extension is enabled. –Havelock Sep 25 '12 at 14:12 2 I really hope for your sake
