I had the Tunneling Problem with VPN Error before, then I installed it again - and this thing happened again. I tried playing SC, WC3, and KCVDS and no games showed up.The circles are green are blue, and I can chat with https://community.logmein.com/t5/Hamachi/Hamachi-Tunneling-Problem-VPN-Error/td-p/51896 them. And the right side, there is this yellow triangle and when I mouse over it, it says: 'Tunnel Problem. There is a problem with a peer connection. Click here for details.' I click on it, and the VPN Status says: '[yellow triangle] error'Details of the error:'ErrorDetails of the VPN configuration error(s) are available on the settings page'In settings, the status says: [yellow traingle] network adapter error. The details are the same as above.I have tried compability mode, administrator mode, firewall exceptions. Situation: Hamachi running on Machine "A" on a Lan.. Works great. 172.16.x.x subnet. This machine on a bi-daily basis hamachi network adapter connects to a remote location machine "B" (literally-very remote, phone lines only!) using a (yes) 56K dialup modem using PPP to retirieve log data from a remote machine. All works, individually, however when the PPP remote connection is established, hamachi seems to bind itself to the new IP on the PPP connection, and un-binds itself from the 172.16.x network adapter. The problem is, I use the 172.16.x LAN connection as my remote connection INTO that machine (A) so when this happens I lose my connection to the machine..... I think I need to bind hamachi to the 172.16.x network adapter but am unsure how to do that.... Please read this updated post instead. Over the weekend, I had the need to create a VPN (Virtual Private Network) between a few MUG members and myself to use iChat through a proxy. I should mention that this did not help our paticular situation, as the proxy/firewall we were attempting to bypass was pickier than we first thought. However, I did learn how to use a great VPN tool, Hamachi, and I thought I would detail the steps needed to get it running under Mac OS X. Hamachi has been discussed at length in various episodes of the Security Now! podcast, which I highly recommend (In particular, episode #18 covers most of Hamachi). The idea behind Hamachi is to create a secure virtual network between computers over the internet, and get them communicating as if they were all on the same local network together. Having all the computers on the same virtual
