When I just downloaded SQL Developer2. When I used it after a long time (having made various changes to my computer)For the first part, I was too juvenile to know that I'd have to download an Oracle XE as well for the database. So I did download and installed it and it worked. For the second time, I got fed up and did the exact same thing.ie,1. Remove all the existing Oracle XE files (uninstall by clicking the setup file and saying install. The wizard will ask you to repair. Don't. Just choose the remove option)2. That done, again use the setup wizard to install. (Set the password for user: system as preferably oracle )3. Try establishing the connection with the given password. It should work :)42.9k Views · View UpvotesRelated QuestionsMore Answers BelowWhy was the NC (network computers) launched by Oracle a failure? What can be done if a Windows 7 laptop faces both error 651 and 720 while establishing a network connection? What should I do to resolve error 651 to connect PC to internet in windows 7?How can I resolve loss of connection problems after upgrading my iP
