Any other ideas anyone please? Thanks, Ted. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3. The Network Adapter Could Not Establish The Connection Vendor Code 20
am trying to install SQL Developer and when I try to open the forst screen and connect I get this network adapter error: java.sql.SQLException: Io exception: The Network Adapter could not https://community.oracle.com/thread/2547624 establish the connection. How do I resolve this Network Adapter could not establish the connection error? Answer: Whenever you see a Network Adapter could not establish the connection, you have either the wrong SQL Developer URL or you have a basic SQL*Net connectivity issue! This error is most likely caused by one of these factors: - You are using the wrong URL- The wrong http://www.dba-oracle.com/t_network_adapter_could_not_establish_connection.htm port number or IP address (or DNS host name) was used- The listener is not configured properly- The listener process (service) is not running. You can re-start it with the "lsnrctl start" command or on Windows by starting the listener service. For a step by step checklist, see my notes on troubleshooting an Oracle connection problem. the io global in window if using the standalone build (eg: /socket.io/socket.io.js or the CDN), or the result of calling require('socket.io-client'). When http://socket.io/docs/client-api/ called, it creates a new Manager for the given URL, and attempts to reuse an existing Manager for subsequent calls, unless the multiplex option is passed with false. https://kb.sos-berlin.com/display/PKB/ORACLE+IO+exception+-+Connection+reset+or+Timeout+reached+-+30s+-+for+process Passing this option is the equivalent of passing 'force new connection': true. The rest of the options are passed to the Manager constructor (see below for details). A network adapter Socket instance is returned for the namespace specified by the pathname in the URL, defaulting to /. For example, if the url is http://localhost/users, a transport connection will be established to http://localhost and a Socket.IO connection will be established to /users. IO#Emitter Reference to the Emitter constructor. Manager(url:String, opts:Object) A Manager represents a connection to a given Socket.IO server. One or more Socket instances are associated with the manager. The manager can be accessed through the io property of each Socket instance. The opts are also passed to engine.io upon initialization of the underlying Socket. Please note that the effect of the two given commands is gone on reboot. This is really a database issue, not a JobScheduler one. But here is explained what happens to bring you to a situation where you can solve the problem. The fact is, that jdbc reads from dev/random to get random numbers. The difference with /dev/urandom is, that /dev/urandom does not block if no random numbers are available. That is the reason, the two lines above solves your problem (but only until next reboot).JDBC needs the random numbers to encrypt the connect string.Normally /dev/random is used for a high quality of randomness. But when the entropy pool is empty reading from /dev/random will block. You can check your pool with /dev/random will deliver the next random number when the pool has reached more than 64 entropy units.and the poolsize (normally 4096) with If the "entropy_avail" is to small (JDBC needs 40 bytes of secure random numbers) you have to increase the pool by producing some environmental noise. This could be a problem, when you have a headless network server (no console) as the noise is produced by keyboard mouse etc. What you can do ismake sure that your entropy pool is big enoughadd in sos.ini (to have random numbers generated
