Normally, a malfunction like this is a chance for me to dip into the savings for an upgrade, but the error had a hardware fix that I wanted to try out. First of all, I'm not a hardware guy. It's a refrain that I've often expressed throughout my computer career. I'm a software guy. Bits and bytes. Higher level languages. I didn't take apart a computer until after college (whereas most hardware buffs and DIY PC-people tinker with stuff in high school). It's not that this stuff is alien to me. Since college I've replaced hard drives, memory, and I have installed PC cards.
on January 19, 2010, 12:09 am I bought a Panasonic DVD-LS850 and it came up with the Panasonic Error 02 within the Costco 90-day warrantee period. Now the new Panasonic DVDLS850 portable DVD player comes up with Panasonic Error H03. When I put a movie DVD into the Panasonic DVD LS-850, it says "Reading" and then "Error H03". The motor does not seem to spin. Nothing plays. Any ideas what the problem is with this Panasonic DVD LS850 dvd player? Thank you for posting the fact that it was that the lens got jammed! Reply Re: error code h03 Emae29 Posted Oct 16, 2009 Hi! I have a Panasonic LS90 Portable DVD Player. I have been getting this same error message forever! It wouldn't recognize or play anything. Crud, I was about to trash the thing and buy a new one. I found this help thread when I did a search for the error code. Thank God for that. I took off the back cover and looked inside. I have no idea what any of that stuff is in there; but, I noticed that this one thing that is probably the lens was wayyyy off to the left and not near the other part of it that fits like a puzzle next to it. So, while my partner used the little, itty bitty black dial on the right side to move the lens back to the center, I was using forceps to remove the hair that was tangled on the on thing that looks like a black screw on which the lens moves back and forth. After I got all of the hair off, we put it back together and it worked like magic!!!!!! It only took us about 10 minutes! Thank you soooooo much for posting this quick little fix-it! I really appreciate it and so does my bank account! Reply Re: error code h03 Matt Posted Jan 17, 2007 Quality. Ten minute job, if you have a screwdriver smal
