Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again
the bush Post navigation ← Previous Next → Panasonic DVD Players - H02 error Posted on 12/1/2007 by Kyle I put a DVD into my Panasonic DVD-RP56 player panasonic portable dvd player error code h02 this evening and to my surprise, it could not read any disc that I panasonic dvd-s35 h02 error fix inserted. Instead, it simply displayed: "H02 Error". A quick Google search indicated this was a common problem (defect perhaps?) to panasonic dvd rv32 error code h07 many Panasonic players. The solution is pretty simple: remove the case, open the tray and then unplug the unit. Inside you'll see the portion that spins the discs. Give this a few good http://www.hardwareanalysis.com/content/topic/55214/ whirls and start it up again. If it doesn't spin on its own, spin it around yourself a couple times and it should start up. I'm http://blog.aragirn.net/2007/12/01/panasonic-dvd-players-h02-error/ not very handy, and this still worked like a charm in 4 minutes. Assuming I'd have to spend $40 for a functional replacement, that's a pretty good payday :). On my player, however, you cannot put the cover back on, and the solution is simple. I had to make the tabs at the front of the case (on top, about 1/4 of the way in from the front) rest on top of the case instead of slotting back in to where they go. All five screws go back in, but there is less pressure on top of the drive (which seems to stop the white disk from spinning). I was too afraid to try lubing it. Will try that next if needed. The issue you're panasonic dvd having is due to the laser lens being either contaminated (dirty), or faulty (scratched or mis-aligned).Follow the steps below to determine and attempt to cure the issue. You can try several methods of cleaning the laser lens to see if it helps clear up the problem. The first (which you've tried) is to purchase a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner disc, and run it through the system several times. If your player is not reading any error code h02 discs at all though, then try purchasing a can of compressed air (available at Staples, or Wal-Mart). Open the CD drawer, or remove the cover of the player by removing the screws on the sides and rear of the unit. Then spray the can approximately 10" from the lens to blow any dust off of it. If it still doesn't work, you can opt to clean the lens eye itself, by using isopropyl alcohol, and a lint-free cloth to gently wipe the "eye". Then use a dry spot on the cloth to buff the eye clean. If the CD player is still not reading discs, then the lens or transport mechanism is faulty and would need to be replaced. If this answers your question, please click "Accept". What do you think the chances of this working are? It's a fairly young unit. Expert: Aric replied4 years ago. I have no way of knowing for sure. I've done this many times, and in 75% of the cases, it fixes the issue. It is really the only "user friendly" method of trying to fix this pr
Recorders DVD Players How do I Troubleshoot a Panasonic DVD H02 Error? How do I Troubleshoot a Panasonic DVD H02 Error? By Alan Temple eHow Contributor Alan Temple Follow Pin Share Tweet Share Email Save The last thing you want when you purchase an expensive new DVD player is for you to be unable to watch any DVDs. This is the case of you are afflicted by the HO2 error. The HO2 error is a known error with Panasonic DVD players that causes a part to expand within the unit. This can be remedied by a spot of minor surgery; it is far from a perfect fix, but it will at least ensure that you can watch DVDs on your player. Things You'll Need Flat head screwdriver Remove any DVDs that may be in your disc tray before you do anything else. Unplug your DVD player to ensure there is no current traveling through your machine while you work on it. This is an invasive process, so this step is absolutely vital. Open the DVD player by removing seven screws with a flat-head screwdriver. (There are two on each side and three on the back on my model.) Now gently pull the top off the housing. It will simply pull off once the screws are removed. Plug the DVD player back in to the power unit. The lack of top housing will fix the problem of the spindle getting warm, expanding and pushing on the top of the player.
