I've had extensive experience with a lot of their equipment and similar equipment from more reputable companies like Sony, Hitachi, etc. and have found the MatsuSHITa brands have problems at 100X+ the rate of other brands. The symptom is my portable DVD player stopped playing commercial or personal DVDs. On the LCD was the text "Error error ho3 panasonic H03". The fix involved taking apart the DVD player, and manually rotating the servo gear to "move" the laser mechanism housing past to where it was "stuck." This was my little voyage into hardware, and I hope it's helpful to somebody. The actual fix came from a post on another forum. Hi, Thanks for using justanswer.the problem arrise from the laser lamb which moves up and down the disk through a mechanical shaftI do believe when we press the back space for long time it will take the laser lamb beyond its limit and get stuck at the end of the rotating shaft so the servo motor gets difficulty and resistance to get it back to tractall you have to do is open the back of the LS82 " small screws" when you remove the back cover be carful not to damage the cables .you will find the servo motor and laser lamb on one metal structure hanged to the body by three rubber suspensionsremove the whole structre and turn it upside down slowly move the small black rotating joints up or down you will notice the the mechanical shaft will start rotating and the laser lamb will start to move away from the servo motor relasing it from where it get stuckand it will work perfect after that return the back cover and screw the screws and you are done.It will solve your problem,if it repeates again then your unit has to be serviced.Contact Panasonic Customer Call Center at(NNN) NNN-NNNN The hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9 AM to 9 PM.
