Error on your Panasonic DVD player (DVD-RP62) hacks Link: http://www.ledcar.com/pdvdh07/So some guy, stefan, has been good enough to post detailed instructions on how to fix the H07 (HO7 or HOT) error that our DVD player (the Panasonic

DVD-RP62) has been experiencing. Essentially, all the oil on the motor's spindle has gone dry and what does ho7 mean on a dvd player the motor gets to hot too fast. (I have cached a copy of the page with instructions just in case you come here

via Google and the page linked to above no longer works. The cache is here.) Apparently, the best solution to this problem (if it's worth the time, and I don't think it is) is to replace the spindle panasonic dvd player error codes motor with something else (from this form post): i have repaired about 9 of these units ,the problem is with one of the three coils in the spindel it shorts sending BAdriver chip in to thermal shutdown . replace with 5.9/6volt low profile 1/2 spindel ,almost any spindel motor with thoes specs will work. touch or get some support from Panasonic but they won't acknowledge or admit that there may be a problem with one of their "products". Panasonic SUCKS!! Don't buy any https://josephhall.org/nqb2/index.php/dvd_rp62 Panasonic products because they won't provide you with any support. But anyway, does anyone have the same problem? Has anyone found a solution to this "H07" message on the display? Let me know via e-mail. Thanks R Powell Unregistered guest Posted on Friday, December 31, 2004 - 16:49 GMTi have sane problem today!! Did u find a solution? http://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/home-video/112851.html David Massey Silver MemberUsername: SamijubalPost Number: 553Registered: Jul-04 Posted on Friday, December 31, 2004 - 20:12 GMTIt probably has a bad spindle motor, Panasonic is famous for them going bad. Open it and see if the disc spins, if not give it a little turn by hand, if it starts spinning the motor is defective. foreman202Unregistered guest Posted on Saturday, January 01, 2005 - 02:19 GMTPanasonic sucks they break bmccooeyUnregistered guest Posted on Wednesday, January 05, 2005 - 16:58 GMTActually, there is a fix for this. It is the spindle. Add a little oil to the spindle and let it sink in. You may want to do a little manual turn to work the oil in. You may have to remove some pieces to get at the spindle, but once you do, fixing it should be a snap. Can't guarantee how long the fix will last though. Just did this myself last night. Well many people have spent hundreds on repair or bought a new unit. But i am here to tell you that it is okay to open up your dvd player and mess around in side. If your DVD player comes up with one of these errors the first thing you might want to try is to open up your DVD player by removing the screws on the side and the back (depending on the model), then plug the dvd player into power outlet with cover removed. Stick a disk in and press play and give the disk a little push. Most of the time the Spindle motor is dieing out when you get a H02 error. In this case that little push may get your spindle motor to rev back up back into action. And if your as succesful as me then hopefully you have just fixed your H02 error for free without doing much work. I just got a Panasonic HT95 Reciever/DVD player to play all disks again by giving the motor a little "kick start". If that doesnt work then follow this very useful guide o
