Apr 17, 2014 at 4:31 UTC Do you have a Postscript driver available for Windows 7 for it? If so, try that. 0 Pimiento OP lupeleal Apr 17, 2014 at 4:33 UTC I should have it. Why would the driver be an issue if the current driver was working before? https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/478086-pcl-xl-printing-error 0 Mace OP LarryG. Apr 17, 2014 at 4:34 UTC It's not the same driver. Windows 7 uses different drivers than Windows XP. 0 Datil OP Gregory H Hall Apr 17, 2014 at 4:35 UTC DataGuys is an IT service provider. Sounds like a driver issue on the Windows 7 machines. Are you printing directly to the Kyocera or are you using a print server with a shared printer? I would also try the Universal driver for your model and see if that works. http://www.kyoceradocumentsolutions.eu/index/service/dlc.false.driver.FS3920DN._.EN.html Get the one listed Classic KPDL / PCL5e/c / PCL6 Universal Driver (certified and signed by Microsoft) Report back your findings 0 Pimiento OP lupeleal Apr 17, 2014 at 4:39 UTC Sorry I guess I should have included this. We have 3 Kyocera 3920DN printers and those are working just fine and the machines were running on Win 7. Why all of a sudden would 1 go down and the others work just fine? Driver is the same. 0 Datil OP Gregory H Hall Apr 17, 2014 at 4:47 UTC DataGuys is an IT service provider. So you can print to the problem one from XP without issue? 0 Mace OP LarryG. It works fine from all stations, except Windows 10-x64. There is no HP LJ 4000 printer in the list with installable printers, nor does HP supply any. The questions is: which one to install? windows-10 tcpip cups hp-laserjet print-drivers share|improve this question asked Mar 19 at 17:33 E. van Putten 486 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote Found that HP has an universal printer driver. However, that one cannot detect which type my printer is, nor does manually specifying the device type have any effect. Settled on installing a LJ-4050 printer PS driver instead, which seems to work but does not match the hardware. share|improve this answer answered Mar 19 at 17:34 E. van Putten 486 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
