Try removing (completely) the existing driver, reboot the pc and then install PCL5 print driver from HP. It can sometimes be connection between the printer and the pc. Check cable connections. Try a different network card, connection, or port. In rare cases its the formatter, but I'd check the other stuff first. Hope this helps you Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Coke in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, tota

A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more pcl xl error often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing. The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.Any suggestions from anyone?Kind regards,Luke Solved! Everything seems to work (so far) if on the printing preferences advanced tab I set "Advanced Printing Features" to Disabled.Would be nice to know why this causes issues when enabled, especially as by default the driver has it set to enabled when installed! Solved PCL XL error(not that easy) Posted on 2013-11-04 MS Legacy OS Windows OS Windows 7 1 Verified Solution 9 Comments 659 Views Last Modified: 2013-11-07 I need the experts, Have a Windows 7 64bit running on Dell precision 5500. Every time the end user prints he gets the following error: PCL XL error Subsystem: KERNAL Error: StreamUndefined Operator: 0x0 Position: 0 he gets it regardless what printer he is connected to. I have logged on myself(as an admin) and get the same error, not a profile problem. Have removed all printers and rebooted to safe mode and started again, no success. Have gone into F8 and done chkdsk and no problems found. Have done a repair and it comes back saying something about "If you added something to your...blah blah contact the admin, I hate that result. I have gone to another machine like the one above, same OS and same kind of PC and was able to print correctly, so its not a driver problem. it is something isolated to his computer. Computer works fine otherwise. Yes I could format and setup all over again but not wanting to do that yet. from my perspective it sounds like a corrupt printer file, but which one? Any ideas are appreciated, Thanks! 0 Question by:12string Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 91 Active today Best Solution bynobus >> How can I be sure that all old driver was completely removed << first uninstall the software here anice guide : http://theitbros.com/remove-windows-vista7-printer-driver/ Go to Solution 9 Comments LVL 50 Overall: Level 50 Windows 7 30 MS Legacy OS 16 Windows OS 16 Message Active today Expert Comment by:jcimarron2013-11-04 12string
