Pcl Xl Error Input Read Error Kyocera
fine for ages but is now causing some issues. A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: pcl xl error kyocera 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing. The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.Any suggestions from anyone?Kind regards,Luke Solved! Everything seems to work (so far) if on the printing preferences advanced tab I set "Advanced Printing Features" to Disabled.Would be nice to know why this causes issues when enabled, especially as by default the driver has it set to enabled when installed! Printing through print server on 64-bit windows 7 machine. Using hp's universal pcl 6 driver. Hp apparently does not offer any support or specific drivers for this printer in win7 environments. After a bit of research the only suggested pcl xl solutions were to fiddle with drivers until something worked. Any ideas?? Feb 4, 2013 at 7:34 UTC You typically receive a PCL XL error if your pcl xl error device does not understand the printer control language. Does the device support PCL 6? Otherwise try the PCL 5 driver. It is possible a firmware update for the machine would enable PCL 6 functionality. 1 Anaheim OP long85 Feb 4, 2013 at 7:59 UTC I just got done fixing something very similar with an HP device and Win7 64bit workstation. Try downloading various older universal HP print drivers. I ended up using Universal PCL5 and 5e for a couple of our older printers. 1 Pimiento OP AlekJ Feb 4, 2013 at 10:39 UTC Tried a firmware update, and every driver available (various version of both pcl 5 and 6) -- no results. Seeing as to how the issue is strictly with large color text files, I'm just going to overlook it. Apparently hp doesn't even support that series of printers with windows 7. Thanks for all the help though, much appreciated. 0 Datil OP Priscilla@HP Feb 4, 2013 at 11:57 UTC Brand Representative for HP Hello Alek, thanks for your pos
Guest Whenever we try to print Access 2003 reports to our Color LaserJet 3550n printer, we get the following error: PCL XL error Subsystem: Kernel Error: ColorSpaceMismatch Operator: VendorUniquea Position: 9 We've contacted HP and they maintain this is an issue with Microsoft: "At this time Access really needs a PS driver." It seems multiple people are having this issue and have posted to HP's support forum but HP has not offered a solution other than using a different model's beta driver. The only update for Office that I can see would be relevant is SP2, which our users have already installed. Has anyone else seen this issue and/or found a workaround for it? Yeah, avoid using HP products until they are mature enough to be considered "obsolete". HTH, -- George Nicholson Remove 'Junk' from return address. George Nicholson, Nov 30, 2005 #2 Advertisements NewSysAdmin Guest We have been having the exact same error message with the same printer for Access 2003 reports. This has been an issue for us for 3 months now. I have posted to HP's forums, as well as this one, and have not gotten any solution other than use a different printer. It's a little reassurance to know others are having the same problem. Please let me know if you find a solution. Thank you.
