If you have the full drivers installed, uninstall them then install the minimum drivers (use the manual install where you specify the printer, have disk, ...). 0 Message Author Comment by:WyleOP2008-04-14 I downloaded the PCL 6 print drivers from the HP website. I am not sure if it was full or just server drivers. What is the destention? I did not uninstall the drivers however. Why would I start to receive the error suddenly? It has been an excellent printer with no change in configuration. 0 LVL 22 Overall: Level 22 Windows Server 2003 13 Printers and Scanners 1 Message Accepted Solution by:Paka2008-04-14 What happens with full driver downloads is that HP adds a bunch of extra "features" (for instance toner level monitor) on your print server. These tend to cause problems when the print server tries to use these features. To install the minimum drivers, you won't use HP's installation program, but instead add the printer manually.

When it doesn't work it pcl xl error will print a page with the following information: PCL XL error Subsystem: IMAGE Error: ExtraData Operator: ReadImage Position: always different The following is the other error I have seen: PCL XL error Subsystem: KERNEL Error: IllegalTag Operator: 0xf7 Position: 1813 I have checked the jetdirect card that is installed (it's a 620n), and the network cable from the wall to the printer (I don't think it's a network issue since it's not constant). Any suggestions would be appreciated. Try reloading them. Or try PCL5 Reply With Quote 01-22-2009,08:01 AM #3 Tarvos View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Junior Member Join Date Jan 2009 Location Traverse City, Michigan Posts 3 Thank you, I will give that a shot and see what happens. I take it for granted that I can get the drivers from the HP site. Reply With Quote 01-22-2009,09:16 AM
