Operator: endchar Position: 23 or other PCL XL error when using a Hewlett-Packard (HP) printer. Solution This error may occur when the printer is using a PCL 6 driver. To change the driver: Got to Printers and Faxes and right click on the printer. From the menu choose Properties. Click on the Advanced tab. Click on the down arrow in the Driver box and choose PCL 5e or PCL5. Click Apply and then OK. Choose the printer with that driver as a default by right clicking on that printer and choosing set as default. Go back into ProSeries and click on File, choose Print Options. In the screen, see that the printer with PCL 5e is chosen. If not, click on the Change box below the printer box. If this does not correct the print issue, go to Google.com and type in the message starting with PCL XL. These results should point you to Hewlett-Packard for drivers or more information.
