error printed out and the print job just stops. PCL XL error Subsystem: IMAGE Error: ExtraData Operator: ReadImage Position: 134591 I am running XP and printing to a HP LaserJet 4000n. The print drivers are HP Universal Printing PCL konica minolta pcl xl error 6 (v5.3). I have 64bit machines running so i need to have the universal drivers (HP doesn't have Windows 7 64bit drivers for the LaserJet 4000). Is this an issue with the print driver or is it something with the PDF or Adobe Reader? Let me know if you have any other questions. Do you know if it's spooling the entire document first on a print server or the local computer before sending to the printer or is it sending the document to the printer immediately? Might want to test those settings if it's not an issue with the document itself. 1 Datil OP lhatsynot Dec 5, 2011 at 9:28 UTC I tried printing again starting with the last page the successfully printed and i got 3 pages out then another "PCL XL error" only with a different position (Position: 11942). A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to http://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Printing/PCL-XL-Error-and-other-weirdness/td-p/164 the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing. The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.Any suggestions from anyone?Kind regards,Luke Solved! RE: PCL XL error DansDadUK (Programmer) 17 Mar 04 07:37 All of the PCLXL errors mentioned above could be caused by one or more of the following:-the application (Powerpoint, etc.) is not interfacing correctly with the chosen printer driver.-the printer driver you are using is generating incorrect sequences in the PCLXL stream.-the stream is being corrupted between the machine generating the stream, and the printer. The brief descriptions in the previous posts imply that the first or second of these are the likely causes. Not sure what you can do ot
