How To Fix Pcl Xl Error Subsystem Kernel
2014 at 6:34 pm I had the same error while printing. I rebooted the system and printer (HP 4700); nothing happened at first. Until I unchecked the “Choose paper source by PDF page size” under Size http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/getting-pcl-xl-error-when-trying-to-print/7e33a53e-9e0b-48ed-9f69-7b54894db421 Options in the Print menu. A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error pcl xl error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing. The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.Any suggestions from anyone?Kind regards,Luke Solved! Everything seems to work (so far) if on the printing preferences advanced tab I set "Advanced Printing Features" to Disabled.Would be nice to know why this causes issues when enabled, especially as by default the driver has it set to enabled when installed! ProductsHomearound the homeproductivityHow to Fix PCL XL ErrorHow to Fix PCL XL ErrorBy Jane BuchananWhen attempting to print certain documents on a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet all-in-one printer, you might sometimes end up with a piece of paper with a "PCL XL" error code printed on it. This is due to the printer's inability to process certain parts of the document, such as embedded fonts or images. You can get rid of this error message and print your document by editing the printer's settings on your computer.Step 1Open the Windows Charms bar by swiping in from the right edge of your screen or by moving your mouse cursor to the top-right corner of your screen and sliding it down. Select "Settings."Step 2Click "Control Panel," and then select "View Devices and Printers."Step 3Right-click on your printer's icon and select "Printing Preferences." Alternatively, if you have a touchscreen device, touch and hold the icon until the context menu appears, and then select "Printing Preferences."Step 4Open the "Advanced" tab, set the Print Data Optimization option to "Optimize for Text and Vector," and then click "Apply."Step 5Print a document to test your new settings. If the document fails to print, power the printer off and turn it back on again before attempting to print the document again.References & ResourcesHP Support Center: HP LaserJet CM1312 MFP and CM2320 MFP Product Series - PCL XL Error While PrintingRelated20 Things We Can Look Forward to After the Digital ApocalypseProductivityHappy Haunted Halloween TechEntertainment5 Signs That Your Family Needs New PhonesProductivityThe Definitive Techwalla Headphone Shopping GuideProductivityNatalia TestProductivityHOW WE SCOREABOUT USCONTACT USTERMS OF USEPRIVACY POLICY©2016 Demand Media, Inc.Login | Sign UpSign UpLog InCreate an account and join the conversation!Or Forgot Password?
