I am using the HP universal driver, as I couldn't find a another one that would work. I have set upgroup policy to send every printer to each user. pcl xl It worked in my test environment. However, when I tried to introduce it into my production environment seeminglyevery print jobgives me this error: PCL XL error Subsystem: KERNEL Error: UnsupportedProtocol Operator: 0x0 Position: 0 I also notice that, on the printer list in Print Management, it shows duplicates which end in (redirected 1) ie STATION118-PRINTER (redirected 1). It pcl xl error even does this to the build in Fax. The client PCs run Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Does anyone know what causes this, and how to fix it? Help would be greatly appreciated. Theyare available on Windows Update. http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Home.aspx There are also many posts @ HP.com on the 4050 drivers and this PCL XL error http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-LaserJet/PCL-XL-Error-SubSys-Kernel-Error-IllegalOperatorSequence/td-p/759953Alan Morris Windows Printing Team Marked as answer by Alan MorrisEditor Thursday, July 04, 2013 2:14 PM Thursday, July 04, 2013 2:14 PM Reply | Quote Answerer All replies 0 Sign in to vote usually, the suffix of (redirected nn) is a result of using TS/RDS, does this only happen when you are remoting to the server? (if so, then that's expected, the TS/RDS client is redirecting/mapping your workstation printer connections into your TS/RDS session. you can disable this behaviour in the TS/RDS client settings) T
