The easiest solution is to remove the printer from the user's list of printers and re-add it using the PCL 5 pcl xl error (sometimes they are called PCL 5e)driver version for that particularprinter.Related Knowledge Base ArticlesStandard PrintersBlue Line While PrintingAdding a network printer in Leopard (10.5) Contact Information Information Technology ServicesUniversity Center 117 5998 Alcalá Park San Diego, CA 92110 Phone: (619) 260-7900help@sandiego.edu Office HoursHelp Desk at University Center 117 Monday - Thursday: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Friday: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Saturday & Sunday - CLOSED Torero Store Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Saturday - 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday - CLOSED View Map and Building Location Connect With Us View Directory University of San Diego 5998 Alcalá Park San Diego, CA 92110 (619) 260-4600 Contact Us Get Started Apply Now Visit University of San Diego Request Information Careers at USD Maps & Directions College & Schools Arts and Sciences Business Engineering Law Education Partners Leadership and Education Nursing/Health Peace Studies Continuing Education Libraries © 2016 University of San Diego. A user who is running Windows 7 32 bit edition is sending files to print (using the secure print function) - the system is reporting they have spooled fine to the printer - but when they go and release the document they are getting (more often than not) about 16 out of 21 pages (for example) and then a PCL XL Error (Subsystem: Text, InternalError 0x50, Operator: Text, Position: 8564). I have another document that 9 times out of ten will actually crash the WorkCentre completely and cause it to reboot mid way through printing. The driver we are using is the latest: "Xerox WorkCentre 7655 rev 2.0 PCL6"As mentioned the user is running Windows 7 - the printer is shared from a Windows 2003 Server which has the same version of the driver.Any suggestions from anyone?Kind regards,Luke Solved!
