I received the DLNA error 2006 when ps3 media server error 7531 accessing video from my PC. After reading much and trying various solutions what worked for me was simply disabling and enabling the option of media server under network settings on the PS3. After doing this i now can watch video without the DLNA

error 2006, thanks. On my PS3 it takes 30 seconds or more to list the files in a directory, and sometimes just times out with a DLNA 2006 error. I'll try your suggestion, but if I run PS3 Media server I don't have these issues, so it seems like it's a UMS problem not a PS3 problem. Anyway, when I had this problem I found another fix.Go into Network and Sharing center, go to change adapter settings (or whatever you have for adapter settings), open the router, properties, configure, find the advanced tab, go to speed, it should be set to auto, change it to 100 (I changed it to 100 full duplex, I have no idea what the full or half duplex is)And that's it, after I made that change everything loads in an instant now. Good luck.EDIT:OOOOK, it seems that routers come equipped with a bunch of other options that will also slow down your connection speed. Weird. So in the same area I disabled "green ethernet" "energy efficient" and "flow control." The first 2 for sure have speed impacts, the 3d I'm not sure about, but It hasn't hurt. Just wanted to let people know.BTW after doing this change shuttering on 1080p for me has decreased a ton.Again, good luck.EDIT: I also disabled Interrupt moderation which is supposed to help a lot as well Top Butman Posts: 3 Joined: Sun Apr 12, 2015 3:22 pm Re: DLNA error 2006 Quote Postby Butman » Sun Apr 12, 2015 7:01 pm I've been combing forums trying to figure the error 2006 out and finally soun

Andy 0 Comments andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Sorry, forgot to mention that the server is running on a Synology DS2413+ with the latest 4.3 beta OS. 0 mfeingol Director of Engineering Posts: 5,057Members, Plex http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2395 Employee, Plex Pass, Plex Ninja Plex Employee July 2013 0.9.8.3 on Windows works reasonably well with my PS3.Error 2006 usually means a network or connectivity issue. Is it possible the upgrade coincided with some change to the network? Are there any errors in the Plex DLNA Server.log? Is the DLNA server process staying up? 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Nothing changed on the network and all https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/74903/dlna-error-2006-on-ps3 is connected via Gigabit switch. I'm actually a network engineer so know I've got all of that side perfect. Am just re-adding the sections back to the Library and will let you know how I get on. Thanks, Andy 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Just had the error again with my Movies section. Quick question, how do I get the log out of the Plex on the Synology? It doesn't allow me to copy and paste. Thanks, Andy 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Hello everybody. No news about the 2006 error? I'm asking cuz I have a folder named 'Videoclips' with thousands of files and everytime I try to browse this folder on Plex using my PS3 I receive a "2006 error" and cannot see any file. Any tips to help me? Thanks a lot, cheers from Brazil. Mary. 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Btw, I'm on a wi-fi network. Copying to the PS3's hdd works fine, just takes fraking forever. But streaming seems to play about 5-10 seconds, pause for ~5 seconds, and then play another 5-10 seconds. Like it's not properly buffering the stream.Happens with both divx/xvid and h264 (handbrake compressed with ipod high-rez settings).I'm pretty sure it's on the PS3's end (not a big enough buffer for the stream), but haven't found any way to try and fix it. dmccarty Ars Scholae Palatinae Registered: Sep 26, 2004Posts: 855 Posted: Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:28 am I've spent the last three months evaluating media servers and Twonky is by far the best DLNA server out there. And using it with your PS3 as the client renderer is the best combo.** FWIW it also runs pretty well with the Xbox 360 but the Xbox has much more limited codec support and uses UPnP, not DLNA. eskatonic Ars Scholae Palatinae Registered: Jun 11, 2002Posts: 936 Posted: Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:57 am I've just paid my $20 for medialink....what's twonky got better about it? me
