from my PC. After reading much and trying various solutions what worked for me was simply disabling and enabling the option of media server under network settings on the PS3. After doing this i now can watch video without the DLNA error 2006, thanks. On my PS3 it takes 30 seconds or more to list the files in a directory, and sometimes just times out with a DLNA 2006 error. I'll try your suggestion, but if I run PS3 Media server I don't have these issues, so it seems like it's a UMS problem not a PS3 problem. Anyway, when I had this problem I found another fix.Go into Network and Sharing center, go to change adapter settings (or whatever you have for adapter settings), open the router, properties, configure, find the advanced tab, go to speed, it should be set to auto, change it to 100 (I changed it to 100 full duplex, I have no idea what the full or half duplex is)And that's it, after I made that change everything loads in an instant now. Posts 2,457 Gamer IDs DLNA Protocol error 2006 on PS3 Hey guys...for those who own a PS3, I need http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2395 your help. When I originally set up my PS3, I could stream videos, music, photos, etc from my PC to my PS3. For some reason, I am now getting the "DLNA Protocol error 2006" when I try to connect to my media server. It doesn't even detect the media server right now. I do have internet access though...that's not an issue. I am running Windows XP and using Windows Media Player 11. I have googled this topic several times, but I'm finding that I'm http://www.team-osg.com/forum/showthread.php?4968-DLNA-Protocol-error-2006-on-PS3 led all over the place...some of the info is a couple years old...It's just not working out. I can't pinpoint the exact time that this started, but the only two major things that have happened to my pc around that time are I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and I had a prolonged power outage where my internet required being set up again by the provider. Any suggestions? Thanks! Long may your big jib draw, me ol' cocky! Reply With Quote 02-03-2010,07:31 PM #2 SaskNewfie View Profile View Forum Posts View Blog Entries View Articles Stunned as me arse! If it does you will need to find a way allow access to your WM11 server. The other possibility is if your PS3 is set to a dynamic IP address it could have changed during your power outage and you may need to reconfigure WM11. If this is the case I would set a static IP for your PS3 before y

Is it possible the upgrade coincided with some change to the network? Are there any errors in the Plex DLNA Server.log? Is the DLNA server process staying up? 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Nothing changed on the network and all is connected via Gigabit switch. I'm actually a network engineer so know I've got all of that side perfect. Am just re-adding the ps3 media server sections back to the Library and will let you know how I get on. Thanks, Andy 0 andy@143wv.com Posts: 9Members, Plex Pass July 2013 Hi, Just had the error again with my Movies section. Quick question, how do I get the log out of the Plex on the Synology? It doesn't allow me to copy and paste. Thanks, Andy 0 schmertzin Posts: 2Members November 2013 Hello everybody. No news about the 2006 error? I'm asking cuz I have a folder named 'Videoclips' with thousands of files and everytime I try to browse this folder on Plex using my PS3 I receive a "2006 error" and cannot see any file. I tried streaming to my PS3 and while the MB server shows up in the menu, there is nothing but an error message when I select it. It specifically says "there are no titles", and a "DLNA Protocol error (7522)" shows up. Both my PC and Plex have no issue connecting through DLNA. I have been using Plex up until now but was excited to try MB. I have a attached the resulting log file after selecting the MB server icon. Has anyone else successfully connected through PS3? Is there something in the PS3 profile that can be adjusted? Running MB3 version 3.0.5234.17867 Linux server on Ubuntu 12.04. In addition, the PS3 will only see MB3 if I turn on "Blast Alive Messages" and set the timer to 30 seconds or less. Note that the PS3 can use Plex and UMS servers from the same machine, so it is not a network issue.
