I can go to the transcode folder, and in there the flacs are showing with [VLC] as the engine. when i click on a file, I then see another Unsupported Data choice, and a proper flac file with [FFmpeg Audio] engine, which plays fine. Also, this bug has been present for a while but i might as http://www.universalmediaserver.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1349 well go ahead and mention it here as well. 24 bit flac files do not play under the Video section of the PS3. They sometimes don't show up, and when they do, it has the [VLC] engine and give a "The data type is not supported" message. Actually i was just able to get a "Media Server Error: An HTTP error (500) has occured" message after going into a transcode folder and selecting the [Audio High Fidelity] engine. I've tried to attach a debug zip but the forum keeps taking me back to login page. Not sure if this will help, but this thread discusses the 24 bit problem too: http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/vie ... 0&start=10thanks! I have a video file (MPEG4) that will not show ps3 media up on my Playstation via my Media Server (using WMP11). I would assume that this is one of those MPEG4 formats that just don't work with the PS3, but when I put it on my usb flash drive and plugged it into the PS3, it found it and played it. I am wondering if anyone knows why this is. I split the original file into two (because the original was 4.03 GB, disallowing me to put it on my flash ps3 media server drive.) The split file, nor the original show up on the PS3 via the Media Server. EDIT: Here are the specs on the file. Length : 2:19:48 Video Codec : h.264 Video Bitrate : 4000 kbps Video Framerate: 29.97 fps Resolution : 1280x720 Audio Codec : 48kHz, 192Kbps AAC LC, 5.1 Thank you, Sabin Reply With Quote 09-01-2009 #2 Sabin057 View Profile View Forum Posts Private Message View Activity Newbie Join Date Aug 2009 Age 31 Posts 26 Rep Power 0 An update: I am now using PS3 Media Server. My PS3 now sees the video, but will not play it. When I try to stream the original file, I get a "This content cannot be played. (80028801)" error. When I try to play the transcoded version in the #--TRASCODE--# folder, I get an "Unsupported Data" error. PS3 Media Server plays/transcodes another mp4 video of mine fine. I remain confused. I just split it in two and copied it on using a flash drive and watched it that way. I was told streaming with the two split files would work, but since you're getting the same 80028801 e
adsl modem. My Bacbook recognise wd and i started to backup with time machine it takes six hours about 180gb file. Speed is normal? Second i transfer my music and videos shared music and videos folders. And ps3 recognise twonky media server. i play music very well. But i have big problem with videos. When i want to select about 2.5gb 720p mp4 videos it says the data is corrupted. Or when i choose about 3 gb 720p .avi file it says unsupported format. Hovewer i can only play one 700mb .avi file. Another 700mb avi file it says unsupported format. How can i solve this problem? And is there any chance for ps3 to recognise as a external hard drive not media server? It was really frustrating because the data had copied across perfectly on my iMac, and would play on there off of MBL just fine, but every time i tried it on the PS3 I would get the 'Corrupted Data' error. The files would also play on my PS3 from USB stick, so I knew the problem wasn't with the files themselves. I found a fix for this just by trial and error. it's really easy and it seems to be due to a bit of a techn
