error codes 15240 and 15311 in quickbooks accountant 2015? I am using QuickBooks 15240 zip code Accountant Desktop 2015 V25.0D R6 operating on Windows 8. When attempting a backup it forces me to rebuild my data. This file was converted from QuickBooks Online to Accountant 2015. My client now uses QuickBooks Pro 2015 The update for Essentials/New Features/Maintenance releases/Accountant/Data Protect shows the status as error #15240. http://payroll.intuit.com/support/kb/1000100.html Service Profiles show error 15311 and Critical Fixes shows a status of install pending. When I click on install pending it tells me I need to close and re-open. Even when I close QuickBooks and reopen it doesn't change. 2 comments × Close Why do you want to report this? Got message to update QB Pro 2015. Updated no problem on machine 1. Machine 2, got error 15240 on 4 of 5 updates. Apparently the quickbooks error security 'owner' setting was set to admin, not users, on machine 2.
